Tasting Notes

A very pretty and pure gamay from Jadot, all from cru villages, with primary red fruits, spices and notes of granite and other earth-tinged minerals adding detail. There's plenty of fresh acidity and a nice, subtle and elegant structure from the well-integrated tannins. A versatile red and a great buy!
— Josh Hull, Chairman’s Selection® wine buyer

Bourgogne Gamay became a new regional appellation with the 2011 vintage. The grapes used under this label must come exclusively from Beaujolais’s Crus (Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Côte de Brouilly, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Régnié and Saint-Amour). This blend has dense, ripe tannins and great freshness on the palate. The rich fruit aromas are enhanced by notes of sweet spices and floral hints.
