I don't get people who say this 1:1 to Elixir, this is definitely a twist, and not a small one. I don't exactly enjoy the sweet aspect of it. For me the amber and vanilla combo are too much. I paid 15 euros for, and for the price it's great. I just got this today, so it should sit a bit to macerate, maybe it'll grow on me

sniff_this

Finally got my hands on a Sauvage Elixir sample vial. Without a doubt Asad is about 90% similar. The main difference being longevity and sillage. But with the awesome price tag of Asad, who cares if you have to spray on a little more?

yigitcapone

longlasting is good on clothes and skin, but the silage is not high and it does not hit like ambroxan on sauvage

FragPW123

Lol, @Codename_
"Sausage Elixir" has me cackling XD

codename_

Absolutely blew my mind, I did not expect it to be so close to Sausage Elixir. It is a smooth spicy vanilla masterpiece.
In the beginning, its a very spicy peppery bomb, then after it dries down it turns into a soft peppery vanilla scent. I paid not even $10 USD for this and the value is crazy. The average price is around $25 USD and that's still awesome value, I would pay at least 4x that price for this. Projection and Longevity is very above average.

8.5/10 Would recommend for a date night with your bitch, guaranteed bitch magnet.

Vamos lá. Cópia do Sauvage Elixir? Sim! 80%

very spicy and a little aromatic. although I don't like the scent, it smells pretty similar to sauvage elixir

Mitzii

Best clone ever, smells phenomenal, performance is insane, very strong. It is quite mature, spicy and warm. Love the stuff and have bought 2 bottles now. For the price range and type of style, its an easy 10/10. As a whole, id give it a solid 8/10, I LOVE IT

@mateusV5: what is that supposed to mean?

Arsenal Till I Die

If you don’t want to spend money on sauvage elixir then this is a great one! I’m very happy with it and performance is great. Theyres heaps of fake SE going around and at least with this you’re more than likely to get the real deal from online and at the shops! These middle eastern houses are on fire!

DwayneL

smells like cleaner imo lmao

mateusV5

bro its literally Dior savage elixir and everyone loves this shit, its so strong and manly def wouldn't recommend it if your gay

Michhellle

for 35€ is steal of the year one spray 12h imagine 3or 4 Lattaga and middle eastern perfumes are on another level🔥🔥

JT8D-219

I have smelled a sample of Elixir, this is way more wearable. Has some old-spice type of undertone to it that I really like, underneath an old school, yet typical modern oriental atmosphere with a slightly ambery and spiced feel. This is noticeably lower quality but still really nice. 8.7/10.

Bigmike650

This is lovely👌🏽 and although this is allegedly a clone of Sauvage Elixir I honestly don’t see the comparison. Sauvage Elixir smelled terrible when I smelled it. It smelled like spicy Indian food mixed with BO. Asad on the other hand is very pleasant. Perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Not gonna lie, These Middle Eastern fragrance houses are stepping up their game🔥

skielbiowski

I like it. It's sweet and I would say the performance is decent. A no-brainer for this price

Nick420

ChiliOfTheValley

Interesting take on the Dior Sauvage Elixir DNA.

On paper and clothes — an almost flawless copy of the original, though with less depth. Spicy, with slightly fresh shower gel vibes.

On skin — a wildly different story. A lot drier and has a heavy dose of vanilla, with a prominent clove note. It’s missing the freshness on my skin.

Is it a good replacement for the original? It depends, but for me, definitely. This is a toned down, more versatile and mass-pleasing version of Sauvage Elixir.

Longevity is 6-7 hours and projection is average. Definitely not a beastly or overpowering fragrance. Don’t be afraid to go heavy (5+) on the sprays with Asad.

In the air, it smells incredibly good for the price. My batch is from 11/2023, I’ll see if the performance will improve with time and I’ll update my review.

Michael52

Bought it cause I tried it at a store and loved it. Just got mine today, opened it and it doesn't smell nearly as good as the variant I tried in the store, although there is a bit of resemblance. And it doesn't last as long either. I will let it macerate for a bit and see how it does then. Hopefully it's not a horrible batch.

Edit: tried wearing it for a day despite the horrible opening. The dry down is actually good: sweet and ambery, more akin to the one I tried in a store. Will let it macerate and see what happens.

spoi

This thing is nuclear in the first two hours, then thankfully dies down to a small projection radius. Although I am not a fan of spices compared to woods, leather and vetiver, I really enjoy this. This smells like how I would imagine a spices stall at a Dubai market to smell like.

Mugabob

Lives up to the hype, amazing scent that lasts pretty much all day on skin. In my humble opinion this should definitely cost more, for the smell and radiance it’s an absolute bargain.

rahimahsan

I've had DS Elixir, just wondering if this is as dark and rich as Elixir, and if it isn't then is it atleast still a 'rich' or dark scent?

Gamer

Recently picked this up.
Cheap, good quality & smells damn good.
Stuff is nuclear off my skin too...

Win win...

lowercase_brody

What i get most from this is the cedar and vanilla. It smells like you are deep in an evergreen forest mixed with vanilla adding a nice sweet touch. Compared to sauvage elixir it is definitely less spicy, whether that being good or bad (for me, id prefer this to elixir). Amazing longevity and projection and definitely worth it. Amazing price too, $36 cad is a steal for this masterpiece. highly recommend 9/10

123Ab0

got this fragrence 3 weeks ago, its really cheap and the Ingredients quality are good, its very close to DIOR ELIXIR but with huge contrast in the performance point, the old batches are very strong but the new ones(2024) are really poor , it dosn't last even for 4 hours, the sillage is OK for the first 30-60min , after that no one will smell any thing even if he was close to you.
overall, the smell is good whith good quality, if you dont have any proplems with the poor performance i will recomend it, but if you want a strog cheap perfume thats not the one.

similarity to DSE: 9/10
smell: 7.5/10
longevity: 5.5/10
sillage: 6/10
overall:6.25/10

Thrice

got this fragrance a bit ago and i love it it is very masculine

jacksparrow004

A really nice scent in my opinion a bit sweeter an less spicy than what i expected but i don't get the pineapple. I recommend it.

sebastian.hoodmoments2024

the dude under me probably has a horrible one cause this thing lasts for a long ass time

0xrafae

It resembles Dior Sauvage Elixir quite well, but the performance is poor as with other similar replicas. If you are on a budget, go for it; otherwise, I would strongly recommend buying the original. There's not that much else to be said about this.

GotANoodle

PLEASE let it macerate. Bought 5 different Lattafa perfumes at once, and this one was by far the worst of the bunch initially. It almost burnt my nose when I initially smelled it right out of the box. Put it in the closet and thought I would give it away. Sprayed it again 3-4 weeks later and this is a totally different scent. Incredible scent imo. Went from the worst to one of the best of the bunch.
Pepper, pineapple, powdery, creamy soapy base, and definitely also smell the dry wood listed on here. Very mature, works very well in office setting if you do not overspray imo. Scent that works well with someone in a suit. Unique scent, you definitely will not be smelling like your colleague.

Performance: 7/10
Sillage: 7/10
Overall: 9/10
Would recommend. But be patient with it.

Anpafella

Muy masculino, super pimentosa, tabacosa y un toque de dulce por la vainilla y piña.

Cay1um

Great scent. I find the tobacco note only comes out every once and a while where as the pepper is very prominent. The performance is beastly and is great value for money.

OneBillion

I really love this stuff, it's almost gourmand-y and spicy. Very loud, but I don't mind for this scent. Overall I am happy with the fragrance, with one main caveat worth mentioning; every woman I've had smell it does not like it at all. While most don't hate it, my girlfriend describes it as "that Lebanese-smelling" cologne. (And to be honest, not a bad judgment). I'm basically left in a situation where I like the scent, but the people around me do not, meaning I almost never wear it. Unfortunately, even though I love it, I will be selling Asad.

takefivespiegel

Making a second review after macerating for almost 2 weeks. I was wrong about this fragrance being a more red and peppery version of Elixir. Its definitely gotten closer to Elixir but still much more wearable than the OG, with a more vanilla-creamy like note. Still fantastic!

Ella Jay

Bought this for my husband, he’s just not that into it. The projection and longevity are very good, but it opens up with this cheap cologne smell, very synthetic and alcoholic. Once it dries down it gets more pleasant but overall this is a very mature scent which wouldn’t qualify as blind buy even for all the hype it gets. However for the price, the performance is very good.

Suls

If you wear EA YOU people get this hint on you

aamir_sw7

Absolutely stunning, especially for its price. A Fantastic mix of spicy, oriental, woody and aromatic notes. Wouldn't call it a clone of Dior Sauvage Elixir but rather an "inspiration.

Longevity is okayish.. between 5-6 hours for me but i'll definitely macerate it and see if it improves.

Definitely a great fragrance, must have.

DanielAlex

Really good smell and performance for a bargin.
Can smell it on my self several hours after even with 1-2 sprays.

Spicy and a bit sweet, def like the peppery opening. And yes it does remind me of Dior Elixir.

FragSim

One of the best masculine, spicy fragrances that i have ever smelt. It’s got a nice spicy, kinda fruity and vanillery note in it that i absolutely love😍😍
10/10

Why no body talking about leather vibe you get in this perfum ? Also pineapple:)

JerryFragrans

Keeping It Simple #2

If you also find the Jägermeister-esque Sauvage Elixir to be too overwhelming and nauseating like I do - then this is the fragrance for you. Same DNA, but a lot more friendlier.

colognoisseur

Maturation/maceration, whatever it you want to call it— is no myth. Let it sit for two months somewhere cold/cool with no direct sunlight. Then review this. Any overtly loud, alcoholic smell that was once there is gone.

As a clone, this is insanely on point. Very slight differences, but to an untrained nose, this is Sauvage Elixir. It’s uncanny, honestly.

I don’t even think I can give this a proper review it’s so close. If you told me the was a reformulated batch of Sauvage Elixir, I wouldn’t bat an eye. Scent profile is just a bit sweeter and lighter, not as “beast mode” as Elixir, but at this price point the performance is stellar.

konnerchase

Although this fragrance gets a lot of hype on the internet and TikTok, I am not totally on board with the hype. The opening is extreme. After the opening, it lightens up a bit and has a better and more complex smell. Even after the opening, I am not a huge fan of it, it's just pretty decent too me.

I always heard that it was a Dior Sauvage Elixir clone, and after smelling Dior Sauvage Elixir, I can confirm they smell very similar. So if you like that smell, I definitely recommend this.

Gulag Gary

It's not a bad scent. Smells very close to Sauvage Elixir (I applied them on each of my wrists for testing). It's a more mature winter scent than gourmand profiles. Because of this, I find myself wearing fragrances like The Most Wanted Parfum or Spicebomb Extreme more often. Those gourmand scents are also more inviting and mass appealing/non-offensive than Asad/Sauvage Elixir.

Buy it if you're in your 40's+ and like Arabic scents.

Sinkagu

Updated review.
At first I did not like this, it was a big spicy harsh mess. But After letting it sit for two months. This is an amazing scent. Its a Smoother and Sweeter Sauvage Exlilir. Ik it does not have any cinnamon but I get a smooth Cinnamon and Pepper spice with a ambery vanilla smell. After smelling the actually SE I still liked asad more because elixir seemed to have too harsh of a spice. But now I love Asad.

9/10 easily.

Tcrowell13

Smells like a spicier, creamier Sauvage elixir without the citrus notes. Fantastic deal and daily wear for fall/winter season.

FragSim

I personally think it is great although is goes against most reviews but it smells classy, expensive and masculine. I would definitely recommend it for serious or special occasions
10/10

the_badger

The reviews are all true. What kind of Axe deodorant is this, was my first reaction. Also there is something barbershop-like, the likes of Animale Animale or Drakkar Noir. All in all, I smell like the construction crew after the day is done and they are heading home.

Cool_light_summer_man

Not blind buy safe. This was my first blind buy, with 8 other clones. This cost 2x more than the rest and was the worst.

0/5 for me, unwearable, a total waste of 30€. I think no one I know would even want mine for free.

This made me realize that I don't like black pepper note. This has way too much black pepper, a very sharp pungent dark smell.

Before you buy this test if you like black pepper notes. That's the warm spice that's #1 in this.

I'll change this if asad gets better after maceration.

Zizoahmed5328

I blind bought this back in the cold weather and at first i didnt like it and it made me dizzy the first time i sprayed this on my self but i got sick over the next few days and when i was alr again i smelled it again and it wasnt as masculine as i had all i had smelt before was black peper and it smelled awful but when i smelled it for the second time it was a vanilla masculine fragrance and i must say its 100% worth buying even tho i regret buying it and not saving my money i must say if you want a dupe of dior suavage this is a perfect clone sweeter and better smelling

SebaPopa

I Bought this fregrance for about 30 euros and i think it the best clone that ever has made! Its spells wery spicy like Dior Sauvage Elixir. I give to this fregrance 8/10 Very sexy and i think that girls like that type of fregrances!

ahmadkhaliile

I picked up a bottle of Lattafa Asad today, and all I'm getting from it is an overpowering alcohol scent coupled with a sharply sour pineapple aroma. I'm left wondering, has the scent profile changed in the new batches, or did I end up buying a spoiled bottle?

Bader7II

Dior sauvage elixir with an arabic twist (in a good way), I personally prefer this over sauvage elixir, classy warm fragrance

exmin

gets the dupe job done well enough

AxeInAKilt

I got this 2 weeks ago because I like the smell of savage elixir and saw the reviews on YouTube. I'm confused if mine is just a part of a bad batch or what but I can't distinguish it from some ax body spray smells. I'm going to let it sit for a bit to see if it changes with time like some people say with clone fragrances.

Aslxn

Decided to buy this because of its hype on TikTok, since it was so cheap i really didn’t expect anything out of it, turns out it was really similar to Dior Sauvage Elixir, an everyday winter scent that is really heavy and projects beastly, some notes that i can notice are spice, vanilla and amber, definitely worth the hype i would recommend!

Jockerr

Absolute spice bomb, has a slightly floral very masculine musk as well. Very classy and very good, performance is high as well but not the beast most people say it is for me personally.

Scent 8.5/10
Longevity 8/10
Silage 7.5/10
Price 9/10

Definitely blind buy safe unless you don't like Spicy masculinity.

Abdo7168

When I first got it I disliked it and almost returned it. Sucked 5ml out of it and left it in my closet. Took it again after nearly a month, sprayed it and yup that is more like it very spicy sweet smell I enjoy it’s scent.
Atomizer is the best out of all Lattafa bottles. Bottle feels cheap tho you can remove the plastic and make it naked asad which is transparent glass bottle maybe slap in a Dior Sauvage cap too 😆.

V73

My gosh, what a brilliant perfume!! Absolutely love it and unlike many I don't hate the bottle. Is it the best bottle and atomizer - definitely not, but ain't bad at all.

Jibones01

Smells like Christmas w/ a touch of Pineapple to me. I really dig it, even without maceration. About 6-8 hours longevity, but sadly not much projection off my skin. Good buy.

bparde

Spice. Thats the review. No but this is a great fall scent, I smell it and immediately think of halloween and pumpkins because of the nice layer of spices it has. Basically vanilla and spices will follow you around the rest of the day when you spray this, and I love it!

bigboipascal

10/10 Very close to sauvage elixir. But it doesn't have nutty or cinammon sweetness. Still achives deep dark sweetness from the original though. On skin it smells a little bit like coffe, on clothes it's 1-to-1 with Savauge elixir. On this batch i smell the vanilla and notice it, compared to the original which is like a bomb to your nostirils.

Use lightly, do not spray more than 3 times for 24 hours of longevity. Projects well but doesn't go nuclear like original.

Edit: On clothes, this lasts like 2 days. On my skin it goes away easily.

Use for Dates, Fancy ocassions or intamacy and romantic setting.

jameslee

Literally a slight weaker, sweater and cheaper version of Dior Sauvage Elixir. It smells very close, all though i think Dior Sauvage Elixir smells better and complex and last and projects better. All that said, this is a great option if you dont want to spend $100+ on a fragrance but you want to smell like you did. Great value, 7/10.

skyon33

Definitely DS Elixir, just slightly weaker and less "in your face".
So if you like Elixir but not its price, just get this one instead.

takefivespiegel

In my opinion, this is a fantastic fragrance that reminds you of sauvage elixir but with a twist; i'll almost say this isn't for you if you're looking for a sauvage dupe because that cloying thick element that sauvage has is not present. But It's also why I LOVE IT more than any sauvage. Its spicy, peppery and appears more like a 'red' scent rather than the cloying 'blue' scent you get from any of the sauvage lines. If you don't really like sauvage but you like some components of sauvage and am a fan of spicy peppery or tobacco scents, this is a perfect flanker!

KennieDD

To me, This perfume in terms of strength, is somewhere between sauvage and sauvage elixir.

While its a very very good clone of elixir, i find that there is a subtle cheap chocolate smell in the very beginning.. But its very subtle, and it goes away after 10 minutes. The intensity in the beginning, is exactly as strong as elixir, but an hour in, it starts going towards the strength of sauvage.. But for the price, you cant go wrong.. Just be aware, this is definitively NOT something you can wear everywhere.. Its very strong, spicy, and extremely manly.

Sosa1x3000

Really regretted buying this perfume
Initial spray is very harsh u get slapped with too much spices and vanilla
Also the drydown of this perfume is basically just baby powder vibes
Definitely not buying again

LocalFraghead

@LekiXtreme i will show this to Lattafa and start asking for commisions

Von_Diesel

I have the OG Sauvage but i use this at work because of how cheap it is. A must have, one of the best from Lattafa. 90% similar to the OG, 99% of people smelling you will not know the difference. Coworkers smell me from far away, beast mode projection. Smells like money, just like the OG. Women love it.

LekiXtreme

@localfraghead i think i bought it because of your review too

LocalFraghead

@ holyslap I hope you enjoy it my friend!

iRankFragrances

Dior Savauge Elixir dupe.

jbfragrances22

Right away you’re going to know what this is a clone of. It’s about 80% similar to the Dior, smells really close to the dry down of the OG. The Dior is more dense and a bit better blended, but at $20-$30 I’d expect that. Longevity on my skin is ~6 hours with around 90 days of projection, yes that’s right 90 days. Just kidding, made a typo and ran with it. Solid 90 mins of projection I’m sure this will improve with some maceration based on other reviews. I do get the slight comparison to PDM Herod, but it’s much closer to Elixir

Slight licorice vibe which fades in the dry down, patchouli, a subtle coffee, amber, and a touch of vanilla. Like I said, it’s around 80% similar to my nose so it’s a little bit of a twist on Elixir imo. Overall this is nice replacement to the Dior. It’s more wearable, smells great, and you could buy 5+ bottles of this for the price of the OG. No brainer for me. Being in the PNW I’ll get good use of this in fall, winter, and springs.

kojii

Sprayed it on first day, smelled awful. Smelled like straight black pepper. But today, a few weeks later, I noticed many huge differences. Smells like middle-eastern spices with prominent vanilla and amber notes and some woody notes in the background. Projects very well and lasted almost 10 hours on my skin. At its price, this is probably one of the best fragrances on the market. Not a safe blind buy though. Overall, would recommend if you want a strong and cheap lost lasting, unique and masculine fragrance.

Palmsquad

Smells nice. Warm, smooth and spicy and fresh.
However it reminds me a little of old aftershave from the 80s or 90s. Maybe even Drakkar Nior. Haha.

holyslap

@ LocalFraghead

Just bought it based on your review. ok maybe a few others too but you know. Thanks!

LocalFraghead

This fragrance before and after maceration are two completely different fragrances. When I opened it around Christmas it smelled nice but all over the place and aggressive but for some reason I still liked it. After 3 months it has mellowed down it’s completely balanced and smells phenomenal,it has become sweet vanilla and amber with a nice warmth coming from spices. Crazy value for money give it some time and it is an amazing scent

beavisbonce

Replace the licorice with coffee and you get something LIKE elixir. Good for the price and you’re not getting Dior quality obviously however I like and will wear it

jojidemon5

Smells about 90 percent like Sauvage Elixer but with some pineapple. Sweet opening but a very aggressive and strong frag that is mass appealing. Has a unique scent like Sauvage elixer but with a cool twist. Can be cloying and headache-inducing to some.

presentation 6/10 bottle looks and feels cheap
atomizer 6/10 basic
smell 9/10 amazing
longevity 8/10 8 hours easily
silliage 8/10 not too big not to small
price 10/10 closest clone to elixer I've smelled

Gulag Gary

I personally don't like the Sauvage Elixir DNA. It does however smell almost exactly like Sauvage Elixir with similar longevity. I sprayed it in my office about 10 times in attempts to speed up the maceration process. Three days later, I can still smell it when I walk into the room. It's not for everyone, but $20 is $20.

gl0ry

This is my first Arab fragrance and i didn't really expect much. I got it for 20$ and it's soooo good. I sprayed literally once on paper and now my whole room smells like it. I haven't smelled Sauvage Elixir, so i can't really compare them. On paper, It's sweet in the opening and gets a little bit spicier and ambery. On skin, it's more spicier and darker than i expected. You can feel the pineapple, the black pepper, the patchouli and the tobacco. Sillage is crazy. Haven't tested the longevity yet, but will do. The atomizer is so good for the price. Bottle is made out of plastic and the lettering can easily be removed with your fingers. Overall very solid 8/10.

JaCrispyG

Even though I personally do not like it, it is a good fragrance and lasts reasonably long, just a little too spicy for me which is interesting because I enjoy tobacco fragrances way more than this, it is almost dirty smelling.

smellsbells

not very strong..similar to dior but after an hour its gone on me. too bad..all 3 bottles of diff batches had this happen...thats why i went thru 3 bottles in a year

bparde

Huge fan, great combination of vanilla which is not too overwhelming, spicy, and amber.

Jezur

This fragrance itself is alright, but please be cautious with the bottle!

The text on the bottle can be wiped off very easily, even if you just rub your finger over it, and this is not what you want.

Rosaleon80

Can't compare to original but this smells good. A little too peppery for me. Other than that, good buy.

masterofcologne

very peppery and spicy nice fragrance

woodfreak

oh this will be great for summer. 90% sauvage elixir but maybe a bit more fruity/powdery, a bit more choc/patchuli on me (lady) while Sauvage Elixir is just slightly less sweet, fresher & more soapy/cold-spicey.
I almost prefer Almaf, will edit later.

Patrovsky

Not an exact clone of Sauvage Elixir but it is very close. It is very well made and lasts forever as would be expected based on what it is cloning. Great clone for the price!

HotdogLegend

Why does this remind me of Oscar De Lorenta pour homme? It smells like coca cola, but I like it! Good but way over hyped!

OOO DEEE Toilet

Honestly pretty bad smells like coca cola and licorice for some reason dont like it.

PLK

very very well made, less intense than elixir in a good way. it makes the original irrelevant, one of the best clones out there.

Gibraltar

Asad is tbh awesome, high quality smell for 19$ i paid, but the pineapple is just odd here. I smell it all the time while wearing Asad, also Asad is sweeter than DSE.

shakero

If you are willing to lower your expectations for 3x cheaper fragrance than DSE I think it's a buy. Why not 10x ($/ml) ? Because where you put just 2 sprays of DSE you have to use 6-7 sprays of Asad to match the performance and it will still never match longevity. So your choice, I bought both to test it this year.

Lattafa - Asad
About the fragrance. Strong, very spicy scent. For a nose used to deodorants and body lotions, it can be nauseating and unusual.
Wearability: works well in autumn, winter, early spring maybe, I can imagine it on someone over the age of 25, in darker, more serious, elegant attire. For the office, use in moderation.
Comparison with the original: a correct clone of Dior Sauvage Elixir. If I put the two side by side, Asad is a bit more mild and soapy, while in Sauvage Elixir the scent notes are more distinct and can be interpreted separately. I think that Sauvage Elixir, if it hadn't been launched by Dior, would have been a niche fragrance. Asad is the "designer-quality" version of this.
Performance: long lasting, with a good projection. I spray 1-1 behind each ear and two on my chest under my shirt, I can smell it at the end of the day.
Price: paid 25 euros for it, well worth it.
I like the design of the bottle, it looks good on the shelf.

Great fragrance but Mr bh is clear

JeremyPrajwal

This has a gourmand quality to it in the beginning. Me likey! It’s like a pineapple/orange flavoured bitter dark chocolate when you first spray it.

I may be one of the few who doesn’t see a lot of similarities with Sauvage Elixir but I definitely like this fragrance on its own. Clone or no clone. I go nose blind to it really quick however but others can definitely smell it on me.

Like with all clones and Middle East fragrances I highly recommend you do 10 sprays in the air and then let the bottle sit for a couple of weeks before using.

Andresazol

i just got it, after smelling sauvage elixir, seeing all the good reviews, i’m honestly disappointed. It has a very strong synthetic cockroach killer smell, i don’t really smell that sauvage elixir in the opening, nor in the dry down, it smells horrible to me all around.

marszello

One of my favourites. Strong smell, not for everyone. Last very long and everyone will notice in the room for the first hour or so.

Olfactory $mell

Smells great, looses its freshness in the heat, sweetness stands out yet not cloying, this has been my second time wearing it on a cooler day, one spray and this is strong stuff, 5hrs in and was in direct sunlight 25deg Perth. Perth sun kills most fragrances but not this one. I think the freshness would shine in cooler weather. Great stuff but doesn’t smell like Sauvage Elixir, some similarities but no liquorice and lacks the green fresh soapy bite that cuts through the heat with SE.

Asad Lattafa: A Budget-Friendly Gem with Sauvage Elixir Echoes
Lattafa's Asad for men has garnered a lot of attention, and for good reason. This fragrance offers a compelling alternative to the popular Sauvage Elixir by Dior, at a fraction of the price. While not an exact dupe, Asad shares certain characteristics with its inspiration, making it a fantastic option for those seeking a similar vibe without breaking the bank.

Opening with a Bold Statement:

Asad opens with a captivating blend of black pepper, tobacco, and a surprising touch of pineapple. This unexpected mix creates a unique and intriguing aroma, hinting at the warmth and complexity to come. The initial burst is bold, but not overwhelming, setting the stage for a captivating olfactory journey.

A Heart of Sophistication:

The heart of the fragrance transitions seamlessly, revealing notes of patchouli, coffee, and iris. The patchouli adds a touch of earthy depth, while the coffee provides a hint of bittersweet sophistication. The iris adds a touch of powdery elegance, creating a harmonious balance between the darker and lighter elements.

Sweet & Sensuous Drydown:

As Asad settles into its drydown, the vanilla and amber notes come to the forefront, creating a warm and inviting aroma. The dry wood and benzoin add further depth and complexity, preventing the sweetness from becoming cloying. This final stage is undeniably seductive, leaving a lasting impression on both the wearer and those around them.

Sauvage Elixir Echoes:

While not an exact replica, Asad certainly shares some similarities with Sauvage Elixir. Both fragrances boast a warm and spicy profile with prominent vanilla and amber notes. However, Asad lacks the licorice note that defines Elixir, offering a slightly sweeter and less challenging alternative.

Beyond the Bargain Bin:

Asad excels beyond its budget-friendly price tag. The fragrance boasts impressive performance, with good longevity and moderate projection. It's crafted with quality ingredients, resulting in a nuanced and sophisticated aroma that stands out from its bargain-brand competitors.

A Versatile Companion:

Asad's versatility is another noteworthy aspect. While its warmth and sweetness suggest cooler weather wear, the fragrance's subtle sweetness allows it to be worn year-round. It transitions well from day to night, making it suitable for a variety of occasions, from casual outings to dressier events.

Final Verdict:

Lattafa's Asad is more than just a budget-friendly alternative to Sauvage Elixir. It's a captivating fragrance in its own right, offering a unique blend of warmth, sweetness, and sophistication. With its impressive performance and quality ingredients, Asad stands out as a standout choice for both fragrance enthusiasts and those seeking a budget-friendly yet luxurious scent.

nísimaldar

Good but not really a Sauvage Elixir clone. SE hits me hard with licorice while this one hits hard with vanilla. Yes there related but this one is different enough that even calling it a twist seems disingenuous. Ombré leather is a twist of Tuscan leather more than this is a twist of Sauvage Elixir.

johanneshj

it smells great, but does not smell like dior sauvage elixir

EmilWilken

To me, this oozes of confidence and masculinity with a splash of elegance.

I don’t know if I could recommend this as a blind buy, but if you do like Dior Sauvage elixir but with a twist of 💈-shop , you might also find this very pleasing. Mmm I smell well shaved…

Projection starts out very strong and then calms down during the first two hours, and when it comes to longevity, it is not a strong as Dior, but very nice for the price, about 12 hours on clothes and 6 hours on skin.

Jayze123

I’ve never personally smelt dior savauge elixir but I like the smell of it very spicy and masculine but it just doesn’t last as long it used to for me and I’ve had this for over four months and now so it’s just quite disappointing. In terms of projection it’s very strong for the first hour or 2 but then it’s just settled down into close to skin type of scent. This has pulled me a couple of compliments as well but it’s just not how it’s used be when I was initially first wearing it. But I probably just go noseblind but I personally don’t think this a beast mode type of fragrance and there’s definitely better alternatives out there for sure. I always have to reapply this numerous times through out the day because it’s just seems to fade away quite quickly and becomes a skin scent but it’s very good for the price but I wouldn’t purchase this again personally tbh.

appupappu

It's an outstanding clone of Dior savauge elixir. However, for my personal taste, I am not a fan of it. It's extremely spicy and definitely very masculine. Definitely not a safe blind buy. Go check out the real thing before buying it. However, in terms of projection, this bomb fills the whole room and it lasts the entire day without fail. Sometimes I sray it on my jumper sleeve on Monday and can still smell on Friday. This is NOT a fragrance for the office, very offensive.

Samburg

I don't know how some people get lucky receiving this one smelling good without having to let it macerate. I will let it macerate for a month and then I will update, because right now it smells straight up black pepper only but 2 weeks earlier it was very weird and harsh so hopefully an extra month of maceration will make it better. Be back on March 16

Update: it's still ass

Abdennourbd

Very well crafted scent and aggressive which makes it masculine but poor projection after two hours of wearing it . Perfect fragrance for its price

Nezzy

Cheap, long lasting, and also smells better than the vast majority of designers.
For the price it is a solid 10/10

MarioPerfumes

its really bad it smells like insect repellent

girldeadbug

Located in US, anyone wanna sell me their bottle? Don’t care if it’s used as long as the bottle has no damage, and I mean the inside too! I like my frags always at room temp, never in the sunlight.

Yes I know I can find this for cheap but I just wanted to possibly help out anyone about to make a scathing review and surprise them with a possible customer! :D

010

THANK YOU GOD, this purfume is an amazing, and i say amazing clone of elixer, i personaly bought sauvage elixer before i got this and i thought of it as amazing, but when this amazing dupe seeked its way into my bank account, i was amazed, it did a amazing job of copying the original, but this is better for those who are irritated by the powder note. Its softer on the powder while taking less time to settle. AMAZING&HEAVENLY❤️❤️❤️

Dannyperfum

La nota de café junto la de tabaco me encanta. Mi chica quiere que la tenga como firma. Cumplidos asegurados.

aloms

So many people hype this up on Tiktok but I think this is the Arab perfume that shows that you should smell something before buying it since it is different on everybody. Very similar clone to Dior sauvage elixir. In my opinion the only good thing about this fragrance is the dry down. After like 4-5 hours the Ambery vanilla pops out and brightens out this fragrance out of the spice-headache inducing bomb that you've had before that. This is my second headache-inducing fragrance I've smelt, first being Kalan which was this but on steroids. I could see people loving this but this is a harsh no for me, Dior Sauvage elixir's spice is much tolerable, it has to be the overdose of black pepper on this one.

Hugo

Asad is very similar to Opium pour homme Yves Saint Laurent

AlekIgnatov

Very good clone of sauvage elixir. My signature scent right now

Andrei_D

Decent way to dip your toes into the Sauvage Elixir scent profile. It's not as rich or persistent, but for the price I think you can't go wrong with it.

donn03

sweeter, more 'nutmeggier' version of sauvage elixir, with a nice tobacco note. a bit linear though which is to be expected

TheCologneBoy29

This Fragrance is Fantastic for the price ,the longevity is crazy .Although the opening scent smells weird when it dries down it smells Pretty Good.

Babatundas

Bought it for about 30$ and man was it the best 30$ I've spent on a fragrance. It is almost identical to Sauvage elixir and many people had told me that this is better than the elixir, even I disagree. The only difference is that the Sauvage elixir smells richer, spicier in the opening and thats about it. Totally worth it

umxreu

I bought this off amazon and my god is it bad, its just a worst version of sauvage , its just probably a need to macerate or i have a bad batch, please beware of bad sellers and a need to macerate

Karim Alsayed

I would definitely recommend for the price yet the scent is not the best as it smells like alcohol but it is a really close clone to dior savuage elixir. I recommend, 8/10

Ryanmmas26

What the other reviewers have said about this having to Macerate is 100% correct !!

***Upon the first few times wearing this it has this ashy, plasticy smell that is present in the opening and goes well into the drydown but the more you let this sit the less harsh it is and you get those pleasant qualities of the scent and it gets better and more smooth with each wear***

What this smells like to me is a throwback honey/Tobacco barbershop smell that’s very rich, semi spicy and has a very alluring, warm quality if you go easy on the sprays !!! Even in the first wearings (before maceration) when the scent was more synthetic I loved the honey tobacco vibe and it became oddly addicting !!!

Performance on this is GREAT ! I don’t get the beastly projection although it does have a very noticeable scent bubble and amazing sillage !! However this will last me 24+ hours if I don’t shower so if you want something that will last all day this will do the trick (also less is more as the scent is very rich so if you overapply this will be too much but 1-3 sprays it is wonderful)

Scents this reminds me of are John Varvatos Vintage and Animale Animale … on my skin it’s like a combination of the 2 . I have yet to try the Dior !!!

Overall rating -7.5 out of 10 !!! Kind of sucks you have to wait for this too macerate to get the full idea of this scent but when it does blossom it is a very lovely and addicting smell. (Beware that this is a semi-mature throwback type of smelll but done in a modern way)

thecolemc

Got it for around $15. Smells like a Christmas tree (the pine wood type of smell) with pineapple and vanilla. I am a beginner and don't know what many colognes smell like, so I cannot compare this. It is very strong, lasts me all day, and smells very masculine.

makehuugo

Delicious sweet spicy woody fragrance. And the great thing about this is that the more I use it(the more the bottle empties I guess) the more it seems to evolve. Maybe its my nose or the maceration just improves it so well.
This is a sweet pineapple, spicy deliciousness(that's not a word is it) and I love to wear to the club.

This is my signature fragrance and it's so frigging good. But remember maceration has an effect.

No-brainer. Go buy it!

Joshfroese

Man, what can I say that hasn't already been said? For the price.. its a no brainer. My gf was out of country for about 4 months last year, I wore this to the airport when we reunited again and the first thing she says is "wow you smell so good baby" and everyone who I ask, they say this is my signature scent "it just smells like you".. enough about me, this fragrance to be is quite complex actually, at times I get this almost coca cola like accord, it's very pleasant, sometimes it's more Pineapple-ish and other very spicy, this has changed quite a bit since maceration, I've bought some other high end fragrances and the scent profile definitely rivals that, I get about 10 hours on this fragrance, 4 sprays is more than enough, projection I'd say is about 2 feet before settling back in at around hour 3, great stuff, hype is justified in my humble opinion

Saif.ig

At first when you spray it, it's very strong and spicy but after a while it drys down and smells very pleasant. Doesn't last very long though but you get what you get for the price. Overall a great perfume and I recommend it.

Taklamen

Pretty good parfume ngl. I don't know how close it is to sauvage elixir but it seems to be very close. I haven't tested it fully for longevity but imo it has 6+ hours longevity easily. For the money you can not go wrong !

Fabio01

80% similar to Dior Sauvage Elixir in my opinion, more a twist than a dupe… more vanilic and synthetic, but for the price, it’s a good option. 7/10

milflover123

i havent tried many perfumes but i saw this on tiktok, and it was really cheap online so i bought it and it smells so good. I got complimented a couple times even :)

Pinochles

can’t really get into this one. i wish it had more vanilla in it

JamesPawn

the plastic gold ring fell off the first time pulling the cap off . the cologne is fine

Shadow09

This juice smells good upon application, but it only lasts a couple of hours before it becomes a skin scent. However, at this price point you can overspray or re-apply when considering the amount being demanded for Sauvage Elixir.

Anylens

It smells like trash and cigarettes for a minute after you spray it, a lot of tobacco and spices, holiday spices and sweetness too. After that it smells more pleasant almost like cinnamon but not quite, just spicy and sweet with the tobacco not as suffocating. Overall, I'd say this is a warm spicy sweet scent with tobacco for the cold weather. It cuts through the air so people will definitely smell you, it's very strong at least for the first hour and then it's fine. This was a blind buy so I'm gonna try to sell it, if not throw it away. As soon as I sprayed it, I imagined a person that sleeps in their car day and night, eats there and is always there in the car filled with trash and filth, with cigarette buds all over the dashboard and the car. It smells dirty at times, like someone that smoked that's trying to suffocate you with their fragrance so you wouldn't smell how filthy they are. I have to say that I hate the smell of dirty tobacco like cheap cigarettes, and this also does smell a lot better after the dry down, I'll rate it 4/10
Edit: I just wanted to say it's growing on me a bit, so if you can get over that disgusting opening of cheap cigarettes and crushed almonds mixed in an ashtray with pepper on top. You'll probably gonna love the smell afterwards, it's sweet, spicy and intoxicating. If it wasn't for that harsh opening that makes me wanna throw up, I would've kept it, first impressions matter a lot, and this wasn't it, I'll update the rating to 2/10 since it could've been great

Chosen2123

After letting it sit and macerate for a few months, I must say that this is almost a completely different fragrance. Upon first getting it, it smells cheap, synthetic, and sharp in the opening. After maceration it has become a pineapple, spiced, vanilla based fragrance and it is really good. Glad I didn't throw it away. Most fragrances should be macerated but middle eastern fragrances HAVE TO MACERATE.

denden_22

Bought into the hype and got me a bottle.

Never have I smell Sauvage Elixir - it is sold in my local perfume shop but for some reason they don't have a tester bottle for it... yeah, i don't know.

Ok, first of all - this fragrance has COJONES. It is strong, with an attitude, macho-like. Even tingles the skin a little where you sprayed. Mainly I pick up on some STRONG pineapple, but it's not the overly sweet canned type. This is combined with a STRONG note of black pepper which tickles your nose, there is also some tobacco giving it another extra punch. Maybe a little bit of powderiness (Iris), smokiness (Benzoin) and earthiness (Patchouli) in the base but it isn't that easy to pick up with this bomb of a top note.

This is definitely something you can over-spray, I'd say 1 spray is more than enough!

Don't know quite yet what to think of it, not a huge fan of pineapple. Will definitely revisit this review.

Edit 1: Pineapple fades after about 90-120 minutes and the fragrance becomes so much better.

For now it's a 7.7/10 from me.

jisam

7/10 Not 100% Sauvage Elixir, but very close. Go for other Sauvage type flanker scents.

SympathyForTheDevil

10mins after applying, guys at the pub asked "who smells like he just shaved for crying out loud?"

That spices combo at the opening smells just like that...a spicy shaving cream.

After having this for a year and maturing it a bit....performace is rock solid. But smell seems to garner positive comments usually from older women. My gf does not dig it...unlike babushkas selling cottage cheese and sour cream on local farmers market. 😂

marleylaytonlover

got me sick for 5 days straight after a couple sprays

Tonkatony

Uhhh it has a very sweet(reminds me of coca cola) spicy opening and at the dry down a luxurious spicy sweet lavender with a hint of patchouli . The sweetness at the dry down is lower . A good blind buy for 20 dollars but I can't see myself wearing this to any special occasion . Maybe a good scent for when I'm sportsing . Longevity is vgood and projection 2 to 3 hours .

GourmandCommand

The first 20 minutes smell like pure alcohol with hints of pepper and cinnamon, then it starts to dry down into a nice sweet spicy and very classy masculine smell, the longevity is about 8-9 hours on my skin, and the perfomance the first 4 hours is crazy, I only did 5 sprays and my friends were asking me if I sprayed the whole bottle. Compliment factor is alright, most of the compliments I received were from older people. It shares some similarities with Sauvage Elixir but they are not that close as people say. I would definitely recommend buying this and especially for the price, but be aware that it is very strong and mature for some.

jdvice

If you're looking to get noticed during the colder weather months, I think this is the cologne for you. It smells amazing. I mean the bottle is hideous but thats ok, just put it in the back of the closet. I think its blind buy safe, its $25.

ZiggySmellsGood

This is a beautiful fragrance. FYI at first like most Lataffa fragrances it needs a few weeks of maceration . I absolutely love this thing ! It is rich, dark and creamy . Imo this one has more mass appeal than Dior Sauvage Elixer . To me Asad is smoother with the vanilla and Iris to round it out with the spices . The pineapple works amazing with this scent profile, however the sweetness fades into the dry down and this becomes a nice, spicy linear scent . This one is not a beast like Elixer but that isn’t always a bad thing . This is a warm masculine scent that I feel I can where more casually than Elixer. I where Elixir mostly on nights out where I’m gonna be in a crowded area because it is a beast that is made to stand out . I’m not saying I think Asad is better but it has more versatility imo than Elixer does for a 10th of the price . I would definitely recommend this fragrance , it just needs time to macerate as I said above but after a few weeks it performs above average, I now get 6 to 7 hours of longevity and a silage within arms reach ! So don’t give up on it if it seems weak at first !

FragrantJosh

Personally I think Asad is incredible for the price it's so sexy and alluring ; masculine and has that sexy warmth and gorgeous iris, it's a perfect fragrance...I have tried Sauvage Elixir a few times on my hand and yes it's a proper beastmode fragrance I could walk down the high street and the fragrance came to me and I am definitely aware many smelt this! You don't even have to walk and it follows people down the road. Asad is not like this however it leaves a gorgeous trail behind you for a good 7 hours! I also believe Asad is much easier to wear than Elixir because it's not overbearing. I adore the bottle design too however many don't unfortunately.

Price 10/10 £20
Longevity 7-8hours
Scent 9/10

WRS

When i first got this a couple months ago i was on the fence but man this stuff grows on you i always find myself going back to it. The smell is so hard to describe, to me it's like a very light Liquorish mixed with vanilla and spices. I would recommend it as a blind buy regardless because the price is so good right now however if you're not sure just go to your local store and sample Sauvage Elixer which is about 85% similar if you don't like that then you WONT like this. (just keep in mind Elixer is much stronger)

enkitu

strong and loud vanilla/amber forefront, reminds me of Gisada Ambassador. not a fan - too loud, too sweet, too obtrusive

WaelMaksoud

Opening is exactly same as Dior Sauvage Elixir.. Base note is a bit different. Very good quality for the cost. Less than 20$ for the 100 ml.

sharpzx

It's a very good fragrance. I like how much it is similar to Dior Sauvage Elixir. If you want to try a perfume in this direction - Asad is a wonderful option. It is similar 90-95% for my nose. But of course, there are still some differences in the top notes.

I'm happy with its persistence on the skin. It is quite good, unlike other Arabic clones (such as Al Haramain Detour Noir. Very good fragrance, but incredibly quickly it disappears and you can't smell it).

Griffs_fragrances

Smells almost the exact same as sauvage elixir but there is a little note that smells like shaving cream in the opening

Sinkagu

I smells like cinnamon candy to me. It’s s a good clone but not one of my favorites . But Im keeping it because my gf loves it and I’ve gotten compliments wearing it.

Its arms length the first hour for ME. But after that it becomes a skin scent butttttt a skin scent that last a long time. Around 12 hours. I was lead by a couple of reviews to think that this scent has a powerful sillage. For my skin the sillage is weak. As i said the scent barely goes past arms length.

The scent is growing on me though, the more i spray the more i like it. So this could become my favorite one day. I hope the cinnamon becomes less SPICY and i get more of the sweetness Ive heard about.

8/10

I went to Ulta and smelled Sauvage Elixir. Asad is a 90% clone easily. When my gf smelled it she said it smells like something I have. But Elixir is stronger so I think Asad is Better.

9/10!!!

salimos

This is actually smells like a mix between Bleu de Chanel and Dior sauvage élixir and I'm pretty sure that this is what they wanted to do

yoursick

As a beginner fragrance collector, I was sceptical about the maceration of fragrances and how that's even possible, so when I bought Lattafa Asad in November 2023, I thought I'd start documenting the way it smells up to the point of me writing this review in mid-January 2024.

SCENT
I knew this was a clone of Dior Sauvage Elixir, but when I bought Asad, I never actually smelled it before, so I didn't know what to expect at first. On the initial spray, and for the first month or so, I could only smell some base notes. Amber-y vanilla and that's it. I wouldn't call it bad, but it wasn't anything special either. A month later, I got to try the real Sauvage Elixir at a store, and I was really surprised, as it smelled nothing like my Asad at home at all. At this point, my sister said that Asad smelled like how cola flavoured gummy bears taste like. It's a weird description, but honestly, that's literally the only thing you could compare its scent to. Fast forward another month and we reach present day. Currently, my Asad starts to smell like how I remember Sauvage Elixir at the store. Right now, I'm starting to pick up on the black pepper at the top and the dry wood at the base. It was never bad, but it improved into something much better and a lot more characteristic than what it originally was, and it keeps improving. It's one of the fragrances I often get compliments with in my smaller collection, despite the fact that going purely by scent, it's not really among my personal favourites to be honest, as I don't think it's anything really special.

VERSATILITY
Previously, I could only really imagine Asad being used as a winter evening fragrance, but as its Sauvage-esque characteristics start showing up, it's gaining more and more versatility as time goes on. Currently, I believe it can be used in both winter and fall, during whatever time of day. I also selected spring as a season, as I'm sure once it has reached its peak scent-wise, that will also be applicable.

LONGEVITY & PROJECTION
There's nothing much to say here, really. I get 8-10 hours longevity, with great projection to boot. Simple as that.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Asad is definitely one of the more interesting fragrances I've tried. At the beginning, I was kind of underwhelmed, as everyone on YouTube and TikTok was hyping this as a 90% similar Sauvage Elixir clone, and I didn't get that at all. Only after I read reviews on here that I found out about maceration, and that you're supposed to let it sit after using it for it to get to that stage. In my case, I wouldn't say it's completely there yet, but I still think Asad is a great fragrance regardless, especially for that low price tag.

Final rating: 9/10

bassiboogles

I guess that this fragrance doesn't do well on my skin. I guess I got a bad batch, since the opening to me smells like dog food. Not only that, but I cannot get over the pepper note! I've had it for a couple of months, and always found it hard to reach for this. The only time I enjoyed this fragrance was when I used it on 32 degree weather. Where I live never gets that cold, so I guess I'll be selling this.

Performance is great tho.

ethangbs23

It’s very good, smells very similar to Sauvage elixir in my opinion and it has a more spicy twist to it, it lasts me all day and projects quite well for about three hours

eliotweg

Imo better than sauvage elixir because elixir gives me a headache like smelling a hot sauce but asad does it better by making it easier to wear and more fresh but still a nice spicy scent with pineapple

Alex771

This is an arabic fragrance, if you dont like arabic spices its not for you. This is Not dior elixir at all, except the opening is like 75%. After the spices dry it becomes sweet and i really dont like the sweetness combined with dior's spices. But overall the fragrance is well made and performs very well.

NoirRGV

The ash tray note never goes away. The vanilla sort of mimicks elixir's nutmeg note but this was a total let down, even at $20 something bucks. It's not more wearable. It is strong projection the first couple of hours with that ash note then by the time it settles down to something similar to elixir, it's a skin scent. I got caught in the hype, cause that's all this cologne is. Club de nuit is a great example of a good clone. This ain't it

radekk

After one month of maceration i can say that i am very happy with the output. The harsh start is gone almost in a minute. When i spray it 3 times in the morning, i can detect the smell still in the evening. Powerfull juice fo 20 bucks. awesome.

Mossy Fitz

Very similar to CK obsession for men, nearly identical scent profiles. Gets a lot of compliments and projection really helps that. Very wintery scent, cinnamon, amber, pepper. Got it for 30$ which seems like a steal for the quality it offers. Mass appealing, I would rate it an 8/10 just becasue I think it is quite linear and not very unique.

Jyki

I have now let it sit for 3 weeks and i have come to like it more now i still get mostly spice from the scent but more pleasurable since at first it had a unpolished burnt plastic to the opening. It is still quite offensive with a strong projection.i would rate the scent as a 8.3/10 silliage 9/10 and longevity 8/10

Ba7rScent

Lighter version of sauvage elixir, more versatility. Long lasting.

BoldlyEmbrace

Beautiful stuff. I paid £20 and would have still thought it was an absolute bargain at 40 or even 50. I haven’t smelt Sauvage elixir so I can’t comment on the similarities, but if this was bottled up by Dior and sold for £100 I wouldn’t question it. It’s very strong and dark in aura, extremely masculine. I think you need to be ‘tall, dark and handsome’ to really pull this one off, lucky I’m all three :) The strong peppery opening is surprisingly pleasant to me (I usually find pepper notes overpowering). It remains spicy throughout, but begins to sweeten after 15-20 mins. Liquorice and coffee both stand out to me, but everything seems so well blended that it’s hard to put your finger on who is actually taking the lead. Patchouli lurks somewhere at the back though providing just the right amount of dankness. The dry down becomes more woody and a nice creamy note begins to creep in. As the pepper begins to trail off you realise that vanilla has actually been playing a decent role throughout. This has fast become one of my favs, and something I can see myself wearing for years to come. Well done Lattafa!

vanillalova

Honestly when I first sprayed this I didn't like it at all, was quite chemical-like which a lot of clones tend to have, so I just placed it in my drawer and didn't touch it for about 2 months.

Coming back to it and spraying on it once again, it's much better than I remember.
It smells just like Dior Sauvage Elixir, maybe just a bit more peppery off the top but it just smells like it.
Maybe it smells less rich, less rounded in a way, sweeter too and the quality isn't as high, which yea what do you expect for ~20 USD for 100mls?

My skin chemistry which doesn't let most fragrances project, actually got like maybe slightly less than a meter(around 2 ft), which dies down to a skin scent after 1-2 hrs, as well as a solid 7 hours from 2 sprays. I live in a humid and hot climate year-round(30+ degrees,86+ f) during the day, so I don't see myself getting a full bottle ever, but hey if you live in a cooler climate and want an everyday version of Dior Sauvage elixir this may be the one to buy!

TLDR:
90% similar to Dior Sauvage Elixir, lower quality and sweeter.
7 hrs longevity and 2ft projection for first 2hrs. (30+*c/86+F climate)( I have fragrance-killing skin too)|
Should you buy it?-yes if you want a weaker and more wearable version of Dior Sauvage elixir.
overall 8/10(Sauvage Elixir is a 9.5/10 to me)

SyndicateFrags

Very masculine and after drydown the note is more moderate and leaves a good scent.

ameat

bought it, like the smell, wish it would perform better
Left it to macerate and see if it gets better

Eau de Tomi

Can i wear this to school on colder days? Also is it really spicy like the opening of spicebomb or rather pleasant and more sweet non offensive?

junkioberyoloman

Undeniably masculine winter fragrance.
Definitely see the similarities to Sauvage Elixir (I tested them side by side), but I feel like this tones done the intense spices and licorice of Elixir and freshens up the DNA a bit.
I honestly feel like this makes Asad a better buy than Sauvage Elixir, just because of its versatility and wearability.
I don’t like the bottle, but the atomizer is good.

Wow, this smellt so bad and different when i first got it.
almost a year after i bought it, it now smells a lot more like dior sauvage elixir now.
last year it just smelled heavy middle eastern.
Maceration is real.

drakesy

Honestly think this is a smoother better version of Sauvage elixir. Lacks an offensive bitterness that Sauvage had

Don't overspray.

kadzko

didnt like it that much at first, but after a few hours I somehow fell in love with it

Nassoss

Actually it reminds me more of Bvlgari Man In Black...I know guys we all need to believe that we can find a dupe on Elixir and save our money but sadly as many I've tried so far, not even one can resemble that alluring and dark vibe of Elixir that magnetizes literally everyone.

Other than that It's just a great winter scent. Slight spicy, tobacco, vanilla. pineapple... The blending is amazing so you get no synthetic smell at all. I got it for almost $25 and it deserves every single penny.

FragrantSpice

Received this fragrance after seeing the hype around it. It's ok. Uniquely, Asad's opening is quite similar to that of CK One Shock but a little less sweet. The opening is also almost sickly sweet like ck one shock but with a little added woody freshness. Very pleasant dry down. Decent value for money, longevity, and projection. Quite Overrated though.

incredible spicy smell, very similar to sauvage elixir a little less versatile then elixir though

Shaneperth27

After testing for a few days and letting it dry down on me skin properly this smells amazing on the dry down. Similarities to azzaro the most wanted after about an hour or two.

xFragrantica

Lovely dupe of Dior Sauvage, opening is very similar, dry-down not so much. Great projection for the first few hours and great longevity.

HarryRandhawa

My Average Person Review
Opening is warm spicy
Drydown is just Awesome not spicy just sweet woody , i love to smell it again and again on my wrist very tasty smell .
can be little too much if sprayed more than 5 times (for me) its warm and so pleasing in drydown i love it i wanna eat it .
Performance is Moderate and it's ok for me not weak in any sense and can smell it on me after a day so longevity is there.
Nothing Headache inducing or suffocating (tested on the most fragile nose i ever know)
Similar to Sauvage -don't know/don't have, don't care as it is good in itself .
it's cheap so you can buy blindly.

GharibMD

It is an Ok-ish perfume for me. I blind bought this one for the price point and it is ok.
Definitely more on the masculine side and the projection and longevity are moderate.

when i first smelt dior sauvage elixir in a shop i almost fell in love with it i wanted it so bad but the price tag put me off. i leart about asad through tiktok and i purchased it around 25$, when i got it and smelled it for the first time i was like this just smells like black pepper nothing else just synthetic mess and i was really disappointed. i let it sit on skin for about and hour or two then i smelled a little bit better and i could smell some resemblance to dior sauvage elixir but i still did not like the scent
3/10

the longevity was about 8-10 h i have not tested the projection

very overhyped fragrance would not recommend but it is cheap so if you wanna try it i dont mind

I Smelt Dior Sauvage Elixir in a perfume shop and was instantly put off by the price tag. Learnt about Asad through social media and I have to say I was intrigued, so I instantly purchased it through Ebay for around £20.

It arrived today, and at first I was rather confused as the opening was fruitier than I had imagined, and smelt very little like Sauvage Elixir. However, after a few hours on my skin I began to get the vanilla and it smelt very much like DSE.

The longevity is good, I'm typing this around 8 hours after application and it's still going strong, and the projection isn't half bad either, apparently as I enter a room my presence is known to those in it. For a clone at a price like this I have to say I'm very impressed with the performance.

Overall, I would say Elixir's longevity is on another level and projection is slightly better, but the smell is very similar, Elixir is more sophisticated but Asad is still incredible.

In conclusion, Asad doesn't quite dethrone the monster of a fragrance Elixir is, if you can afford DS it's definitely a justified purchase but if you don't want to splash north of £130 for 60ml of juice Asad is an immaculate choice.

Smell 9/10

Would definitely recommend!!

Just received it in the post. Have let it dry down for about an hour and it's absolutely identical to spicebomb infared

Elniñopolla

Okay first of all, I have a lot of knowledge on suavage elixir (and not the other sauvages), and from my point of perspective, this clone is approximately 85 % close to elixir.

The biggest changes I smell, is the more prominent Vanilla note (which I actually think is a great addition here (vanilla is not noted in sauvage elixir notes).

Second change I feel, is that Asad has a bit stronger benzoin feel, especially in the start( the only mini downside)

Honestly, I like this better than the original Elixir, and that is incredible for the money it costs.

I have tested side by side on each arm, and asked some females what they liked more, and they all pointed to Asad.
I think it's the sweetness of the vanilla note that smoothes out the spicyness a bit more.

This is one of the best dupes I have ever tried, and for the price it's a no brainer if you like spicy Winther fragrances with a good touch of sweetness.

Its very masculine, but I can understand its not for everyone ( I personally don't like the original sauvages) but I have always been drawn to elixir, I just felt it was a bit too spicy.

I think lattaffa solves that cleverly with the more prominent vanilla note.

moisymoos

After 2 months of maceration, all I can say is that it kinda smells like a spicy version of Coca-Cola I kinda like it sometimes maybe when it's windy outside I could bear the smell but after a while, I get bored of it.

The opening has a very spicy peppery feel that I don't like and makes that fragrance not smooth.

Those notes of patchouli and Benzoin make it very masculine and bold in a way (classic 80s feel or green scents profile but in a modern way) however I had 2 compliments from 2 women about it there is something they like about it.

For now, it's my least favorite scent in my collection.

Who wouldn’t want to smell this on a man? It’s the type of scent that makes you want to steal his hoodie so you can continue smelling him when you’re apart. It’s fabulous. Great value!

3NO7

This does not smell like Sauvage Elixir to me.

Smells a lot like Philipp Plein No Limits.

Vikkinca

I'm perplexed by references to tobacco, pineapple and vanilla in Asad. What I get is Dior Sauvage Elixir. In fact, this is without a doubt one of the best clones of a fragrance you will find. A little lighter than the Dior, but with five sprays Asad was still performing quite powerfully at the 16 hour mark.

The note pyramid here on Fragrantica for Asad has to be incorrect. I have Dior Sauvage Elixir, and the scent is copied incredibly well in Asad. There is no tobacco, pineapple or vanilla in the Dior, and I am not getting a hint of them here either. That's actually a pity because I love all three of those notes and they would've given Asad an identity of its own.

Honestly if you're thinking of purchasing the Dior but want to save yourself $150 (current price of Sauvage Elixir in South Africa is $170), get this Lattafa for a mere $20. The bottle's a beauty, too.

GAK15

This cologne just smells amazing for its price. It's a lot like the original dior sauvage or the edp, not like elixir,
And it adds a lot of other things that dior sauvage doesn't have. Definitely worth 20-25 bucks.

BMcGrath

I had Dior Sauvage Elixir on skin earlier today as I was at the mall, and when I got home much later, I saw that my bottle of Asad had come in. With the Dior fresh on my mind, and the Asad freshly applied, I would say it is 90-95% the same thing. I really wasn't expecting it to be this close.

I had heard that it was 80% the same, and honestly that was good enough for me as I was not about to spend $250 on a 3.4oz bottle of Dior, but I really enjoy the DNA of this cologne. So I went ahead and pulled the trigger on Asad, $25 before shipping from Jomashop, and it might be the best $25 I've ever spent. For 10% of the price this is more than close enough.

The opening of Asad is a little sharper/spicier, and I would say the drydown is a little sweeter, however, If I hadn't had the real thing on earlier today I don't know if I really would've been able to tell the difference. If you are on the fence about getting it because you like the Dior but don't wanna spend the money, just buy the Asad. Definitely worth it.

malone

Smelled it today side by side with Dior Elixir on skin and paper. Openings are exactly the same, it’s ridiculous. Spicy explosion, smells great but can be off-putting to some people.

On the dry down, Dior stays on the spicy lane of the notes, whereas Asad, stays more on the ambery-woody-vanilla side of the notes.

Asad is “fresher”, and more wearable in hotter weathers, using less sprays of course. Dior, I can’t imagine it working outside of the cold weather.

On the performance aspect of this fragrances, Dior takes it, I washed it off at the end of the day and I still could smell it on my wrist. Asad though, has above average performance, so don’t worry about longevity / silliage issues.

Lastly, quality of ingredients in Dior shine, you just can tell it’s a higher end fragrance, but honestly, in the air as it should be perceived, Asad smells high quality too, not as much as Dior, but still.

If you’re on a budget, or just don’t see value in spending 100s of dollars to smell good, Asad is an amazing option, non-fragheads won’t be able to tell the difference, the vibe and concept of both is the same. Only go for Dior Elixir if you have the money and you like more natural and wintery ingredients / fragrances. Even then, Asad is so close, I’d still prefer to have it as my “Dior Elixir”, and would spend my money on Sauvage EDP or EDT, for an all year high quality fragrance.

NoirRGV

Smells super dusty and ashy upon first spraying. Typical of these middle eastern clones but then they settle in something close to original frag. club de nuit for Aventus is "lemon cleaner" for the first hour then it's spot on. This settles something similar to elixir, but by the time it does, it's a skin scent. So yes, it's strong the first couple of hours with that ashy note then after about the 4th hour has a warm vanilla note that sits close to the skin similar to elixir's nutmeg note. Honestly disappointed in the hype. Can't complain to much because of the price but to think other middle eastern houses do a good job in cloning, this one was a let down.

youwishyounevermetheratal

i blind bought it and i love it. Its really close to dior savage elexir! I think its a safe blind buy but there will be always somoene who wont like it.

AndroniX

I was not expecting too much from this fragrance for his price but man... this was amazing. For me, Lattafa Asad is a 95% Dior Sauvage Elixir clone and i could recommend this to everyone.

Dark Owl

I was tempted to sell on my bottle of this (as I found it a little too in your face) but I gave it a few extra chances and I appreciate more now. I find it very similar to DS Elixir however Asad seems to have a more prominent vanilla/amber accord, in the air though they do smell close in my opinion.

I'm not usually into mixing/layering fragrances but I tried a few sprays of Armani's Stronger with You (which I think is superb) plus a couple of sprays of Asad (in different places) and this worked very well, smelled great, at least to me. On it's own Asad is good too of course but I think less is more with this one (same with DS Elixir) 😉

Tobacco opening into yummy pineapple dry down. Definitely value for money. I haven't tried elixir but overall a really good fragrance with strong projection. I love the pineapple that I haven't seen in many other fragrances

Please help me,what should i buy,Urban Elixir or Lattafa Asad?

noelmarchaynes

Look, I'll keep this short.

I'm 50, have over 150 bottles, niche and designer and I own sauvage elixir.

Asad is damn good and I won't be rebuying Elixir when done. Don't sleep.

It's a people pleaser, and smells better than Elixir IMO

Leaving this review after wearing my Lattafa Asad for a couple occasions, and i can say that i like it. the initial opening is very strong and "middle eastern" but once the drydown comes it's much more sweet and the amber and vanilla really shines through making it a very pleasant but still strong scent. Its a very complex smell with a lot of different elements to it. personally i get cola notes which i enjoy quite a lot. haven't smelled Sauvage Elixir but that is supposed to smell like liquorice instead of the cola note. and without having tried both i think i would like the cola more. The projection and longevity is very good for a cheap fragrance. I would recommend it for the more mature man who would like to not just smell basic. it's a scent that stands out without being to outstanding if that makes any sense. 7/10
