AURISCALPIACEAE 

The Auriscalpiaceae family is in the Russulales order. includes morphologically dissimilar fungi, from the toothed Aurisalpium vulgare  to the coral-like Artomyces pyxidata, to the gilled Lentinellus cochleatus and its shelf-like Lentinellus ursinus and Lentinellus vulpinus. Their relatedness to each other and to other fungi in the Russulales Order has been determined by DNA analysis. All are saprotrophic.
