Generations of vegetable gardeners have planted marigolds to control insect pests in the garden—and this dwarf variety, Dainty Marietta French Marigold, is one of our favorites. It produces lots of small, bright yellow flowers with maroon blotches in the center. Growing 12-18 inches tall, Dainty Marietta French Marigold is easy to fit into the vegetable garden, flower garden, pollinator garden or into containers and window boxes. Its fragrant flowers also add charm to cut floral arrangements. Easy-to-grow marigolds can be started from seed indoors and transplanted to the garden or directly sown into the garden once the soil warms. This annual grows best in full sun. Dainty Marietta French Marigold is part of the Parfum de Bloom™ series. The varieties in this series are reliably, powerfully and delightfully fragrant.
