Ronald George
Parys

PARYS, Ronald George, age 68, former Wisconsin State Senator and Representative, died peacefully Sunday, September 16, 2007 with his wife and children by his side at his home in Englewood, Florida, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He died the way he lived as a dignified gentleman.

Born in Milwaukee October 7, 1938 he was a life long resident and devoted servant of the State of Wisconsin until he moved to Florida in 1996 after retiring as a legislative consultant for the Retail Grocers Association. As a conservative Democrat in the Wisconsin Senate he was noted for sponsoring key bills such as the state lottery and promoting equality, fairness and personal responsibility. During retirement he remained interested in politics and was a member on the Punta Gorda Zoning Appeals Board. He and his wife continue to fund and operate a local animal rights organization. He also devoted his time to his family, enjoying life and always looking for that perfect restaurant or cruise with extraordinary cuisine.

He was preceded in death by his little angel son Todd Anthony, loving father Casimir and beloved sister Darlene. He is survived by his loving wife Dawne Helene Albrecht-Parys; beloved mother Gladys Bernice Parys and brother Keith Rhonda Parys of Wild Rose, WI. and four children; Brian Diane Parys of S. Milwaukee, WI; Cheryl Trimboli Jerome of Garden City, NY; Lynn Gross of Oak Creek, WI; and Dawn Steiner John of Augusta, GA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; Angela Gibas, Joshua Stahl, Lauren Gross, Kimberly Richards, Sherielyn and Robert Parys; and Julia, Christina and Maria Trimboli. Ron is also survived by his adored four footed “fur balls”; Woodpile, Honey, Angel, Precious, Cupcake, Martini, Princess Co-co-puff, Stinkey, Charlie and Sweetie-Pie.

A celebration of his life will be on his 69th Birthday, October 7, 2007, with visitation from 4-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 S. 27th Street, Oak Creek, WI and a Memorial Celebration to follow. A private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Ronald Parys’ name to a non-profit animal charity of your choice. Ron’s final wishes to his family and friends; “love one another, enjoy life to its fullest and please spay and neuter your pets”.
