Tunnel Mountain Trail
2.3km, 300m elevation gain
(1-1.5 hours return)
Banff's most accessible summit easily reached from town. Offers a panoramic view of the townsite, the Bow, and Spray Rivers.
Hoodoos Trail
4.8km, 90m elevation gain
(3 hours return)
Surprise corner to the Hoodoos. This trail descends to the Bow River and follows the cliff face of Tunnel Mountain.
Sulphur Mountain Trail
5.5km, 655m elevation gain
(4 hours return)
This strenuous trail follows a series of switchbacks to the summit and provides stunning views of the Bow Valley. You will find the Banff Gondola restaurant at the top. There is an option to take the gondola back down for a cost.
Sundance Canyon
3.9km one way,
(3 hours return)
Starts at the Cave and Basin National Historic Site. Views open up to a mountain panorama across the Bow River. After a steady climb, the paved section ends and a moderately difficult trail loops through a water-filled canyon.
Bow Falls Trail

Meander along the shore of the Bow River and past soaring rapids before climbing above the Bow Falls. Follow signs to Waldhaus Pub (great patio to stop for a drink). And follow the trail to Banff Springs Hotel.
Fenland Trail
2km loop, (45 min)
An interpretive loop through a white spruce forest along the banks of the Forty Mile Creek
Marsh Loop
2.8km loop,(40 min)
Starts at the Cave and Basin and follows the Bow River. Offers opportunities to see birds and an excellent view of Mt Norquay.
