Our Pieta statue is a petite version inspired by Michelangelo's famous piece "Pietà". It depicts Mary sorrowfully contemplating the dead body of her son which she holds on her lap. This sculpture was commissioned by a French Cardinal living in Rome.

Beautiful miniature Pieta statue

We have a replica of the full size statue visiting our church, and I know someone who loves it very much, so I got this as a gift for them. I know they will treasure it. The quality is beautiful and I will also be purchasing one for my own home soon.
