The pictures of your Zephirine Drouhin are lovely. It is a favorite of mine, this will be its fourth season, so far mine has been healthy, just wish it bloomed more after the spring flush, but I have certainly enjoyed it.

Thank you, Sara-Ann. It took a few years for her to get this robust. I think I planted her in 2010, maybe? I am just so impressed that she kept going even with my indifferent care. She is going to get a little pruning this year, and a new trellis - she deserves it!

Prettypetals I have two zephies and I am growing them as cascading shrubs not climbers. they are 2 years old this spring so hopefully I will have some goods pics of the spring flush.

I have 2 ZD's that have yet to bloom for me. I hope i get a flush of blooms in spring. Do they prefer more shade than sun?

haku84, mine was in practically full shade by the time that picture was taken. The tree came down in a storm last year. However, when I first planted it, it was in full sun. I got it from Pickering years ago, grafted on multiflora, and it always performed well.

Unfortunately, I just had to pull it out because it had rose rosette. It broke my heart. I will be getting a replacement, either on Dr. Huey or own root, since Pickering is no longer open.
