Tephritidae sp. - Fruit Fly
A very distinctive fly, but as with a lot of what you might call the less significant creatures, simply not enough work has been done on identification on bugs in Indonesia. I did not find a single image to match, not even on Flickr.
The fly is fairly easy to phorograph, because rather than flying away, it angles the face of its wings towards you, believing that this makes him invisible.
Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Alongside a stream and paddy fields.
