Naming

Originally described as Chrysomela glabra by Herbst in 1783 it is known today either as Prasocuris (Hydrothassa) glabra or -if the subgenus is lifted to genus status- as Hydrothassa (Agrostithassa) glabra (Herbst, 1783)

Distribution

The species is widely distributed over Europe, but scattered into very local populations and scarce over its entire range.
