At the esteemed invitation of 🇫🇷France, 🇩🇪Germany, and the European Union, our Advisor and Head of Office in Nairobi, Bakry Osman, actively participated in the Paris conference for 🇸🇩Sudan alongside a high-level seminar for Sudanese civil society organizations.  The conference aimed at tackling the urgent humanitarian needs in Sudan, exploring effective strategies to deliver aid amidst the ongoing crisis. Bakry engaged in fruitful discussions with top leaders from various international and regional organizations, representatives of donor countries, special envoys, and fellow Sudanese leaders. Together, they reaffirmed their commitment to delivering humanitarian aid and pursuing lasting solutions to end the conflict. 🌱 Highlight of the visit: Bakry had the honor of meeting with President Emmanuel Macron, discussing pivotal steps forward for Sudan. 🤝

A few weeks ago, our Tunis office hosted 15 master's students from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Bologna career trek for an afternoon of discussion in our Tunis office garden. ☀️🇹🇳   Fanny Marchand, our Tunis office lead, led an engaging presentation of the work we do at Voluntās and discussed meaningful ways to tackle the question of migration in humanitarian and development projects. The SAIS students asked insightful questions about our roles as advisors in the field of migration, life in Tunisia, and the future of the humanitarian and development sector. 🌱 It was a true pleasure to connect with the next generation of leaders, and we look forward to engaging with some of you again in the future! 🤝

Meaningfulness in Munich 🇩🇪 Asbjørn Sørensen Berg together with Niklas Middrup has recently opened our new Munich Office, and as Asbjørn highlights in the video, he is more than up for the challenge. Trust and support are fundamental in nurturing the growth of the people in your organization and we always strive to help our Voluntarians to be a little Icarus and explore new heights. And Asbjørn hopes to bring the spirit of Icarus with him to Germany, since work is no longer just a 9-5 and the demand for living more meaningful lives is something that is present in all cultures and organizations.
