I am honored that my paper [Exploring Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena through Instrumented Field Studies: Historical Insights, Current Challenges, and Future Directions] has been published n the inaugural issue of Limina - The Journal of UAP Studies by the Society for UAP Studies. This nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization aims to unite serious thinkers, including academics and professionals, dedicated to advancing the study of the UAP phenomenon to a higher level of rigorous scholarly engagement. Robert Oppenheimer, a highly intelligent physicist, played a unique role in the creation of the atomic bomb during World War II. His famous quote, expressing the weight of witnessing the bomb's destructive power, highlights the moral dilemmas that often arise with scientific advancements. After witnessing the devastation caused by the atomic bomb, Oppenheimer's viewpoint drastically changed. He began advocating for arms control and strongly emphasized the need to utilize scientific advancements for the benefit of humanity. Fascinating discussions last week at ELI-ALPS (part of ELI - Extreme Light Infrastructure ), the PetaWatt laser research centre in Szeged, Hungary, with TRANSMUTEX (Franklin Servan-Schreiber, the The Nobel Prize in physics Gérard Mourou, jean-Pierre Revol, Judit Groska) and DAES SA (Francois Plewinski) on the possibilities offered by lasers for the acceleration of electrons and protons... the goal is to create efficient and compact accelerators. We are working now over the next 3 months to define an experiment at ELI-ALPS with Gabor Szabo to demonstrate the possible applications of such technologies...
Correlated Solutions recently assisted in an important research project at the University of South Carolina with members of Austin R.J. Downey's research group who are investigating the degradation parameters of rapidly discharging Lithium-ion batteries. In some cases – especially in defense and aerospace applications – it is necessary to push battery performance to extreme limits. Dr. Downey’s team, working in the ARTS lab (Adaptive Real-Time Systems) at the USC College of Engineering and Computing, are using the VIC-3D digital correlation system in conjunction with the NHR 9200 battery test system to investigate the material characteristics of an 18650 2500mAh 20A battery as it rapidly discharges.
