I have officially arrived in Pittsburgh, PA, and searching for a new Marketing position. This new adventure is definitely unnerving, but the chance to start fresh is so very exciting! It reminds me of when I graduated college, but this time I have 20 years of professional experience to offer.

I remember the moment when I started my marketing career. Things were…a lot, to say the least: → I felt overwhelmed → I knew I lacked experience → I had no idea if I was going to be able to make this work But gradually, things began to change: → Tons of information started to turn into an idea → The idea led to meeting the right people → The right people led to the actions to carve it out I'm not saying it was easy, on the contrary: → There were times when I had no idea what to choose → I had days when I was ready to give up → I lost faith in my abilities But when I was most confused, I realized that if you give yourself time to think through everything that confuses you and assess the situation as a bystander then the solution will start to emerge little by little Even today, I continue to learn and find new interests, but I now know that when it gets harder things sort themselves out. What was the hardest thing you learned on the way to your career?

To me, marketing is a challenging, yet super exciting job. My role allows me to tap into my creativity every single day, and I absolutely adore it 🥰 If you’re on the edge about deciding whether to take the plunge and choose this career path, here are 5 reasons you should go for it: ↳ ⭐️ There’s no limit to what you can do. Fancy a bit of social media? Maybe you like analysing statistics? What about writing blogs and organising events? No matter what you enjoy, there will be something for you. ↳ ⭐️ It’s an extremely social industry. Not only do you spend your days figuring out who your target audience are, you also collaborate with your co workers all the time! ↳ ⭐️ There’s so much opportunity for growth. Starting off as a marketing assistant, you can then progress to executive and even director level. There’ll always be a role for you. ↳ ⭐️ The field is in demand. The demand for marketing professionals is growing, increasing by 40% between 2017 - 2027 (faster than any occupation over the same period!) I’ve still got a long way to go in my career, but I’m so excited for what the future holds. #marketing #career #socialmedia #digitalmarketing #opportunity
