We are pleased to announce that the first operation of the inductive metal flow heater was a success. Speira has collaborated with Otto Junker Solutions GmbH to develop a prototype that converts gas-heated aluminium melting furnaces into induction-heated furnaces. By combining Otto Junker's expertise in induction furnaces and our knowledge of #aluminium, we have developed a solution that can cost-efficiently decarbonize aluminium production. At Speira’s R&D in Bonn, we have installed an additional module on an aluminium melting furnace. A mechanical pump transports liquid aluminium between the induction furnace and the existing melting furnace. This groundbreaking technology maintains product #quality and even increases throughput while reducing carbon #emissions. #redefinethelimits #inspeiradbyaluminium

Girls' Day und Boys' Day bei Speira - Technik zum Anfassen! Mit dem Ziel, junge Menschen für naturwissenschaftliche und technische Berufe zu begeistern und Orientierung bei der späteren Berufswahl zu ermöglichen, bot #TeamSpeira in Hamburg und Grevenbroich ein spannendes Tagesprogramm rund um den Werkstoff #Aluminium an.  „Wir durften sogar selbst löten“ – Die Begeisterung der Schülerinnen und Schüler war groß, als sie selbst anpacken durften. An unterschiedlichen Stationen erhielten die 5.-10. Klässler die Möglichkeit, das Innere eines Feuerwehrautos zu durchforsten, eine laufende Produktionsanlage zu bestaunen und unter Aufsicht selbst aktiv zu werden. Wir freuen uns, dass wir diesen Tag zu etwas ganz Besonderem für die Schülerinnen und Schüler gemacht haben.  #redefinethelimits #inspeiradbyaluminium

It is important for us that we share our expertise in #aluminium recycling to support education in our local communities. Let's celebrate the progress we've made so far and reaffirm our commitment to building a circular world that works.

We are excited to get started with this joint endeavor: Together with three members of the EUROPEAN ALUMINIUM Packaging Group, we signed an agreement to engage in a standardization project to maximize the recycled content levels of the beverage can and thus substantially lower carbon emissions, focused on increased recyclability of the can end.
