Great innovation session with Cap Gemini last week in Lausanne! We explored flexible planning solutions, discussed various ML/AI options, but also concluded that at the end of the day, nothing works without a strong discipline across the organisation. Most of the digital solutions fail because we do not execute well required drumbeats and lack the focus across the organization on what matters. To avoid getting lost with the quantity of data we manage, we need to select those output and in process measures that matter. Once defined, this is about understanding and addressing root causes of our losses. This is not different from playing any sport, musical instruments, games, … If you want to succeed, you need to accept a high level of discipline and repetition till you perfect the outcome. #discipline, #supplychainplanning
