$50,000

The Interfaith Community for Detained Immigrants (ICDI) is a collaborative effort between 17 local faith organizations. It supports immigrants and asylum-seekers, including individuals and families, in a variety of ways as they seek lawful status or humanitarian protection in the United States. ICDI staff and volunteers provide pastoral care weekly to individuals in immigrant detention centers; attend Immigration Court proceedings; and connect those that ICDI is serving with pro bono legal representation. For those individuals that have been released from federal custody, ICDI offers support in the form of clothing, food, language interpretation, transportation, and temporary housing. This award provides general operating support to ICDI.
