Igeho 2023: Everything for successful hosts

From November 18 - 22, 2023, the most important international industry platform for hotels, restaurants, take-away and care institutions in Switzerland will once again take place in the halls of Messe Basel. Highlights such as a cooking arena, the Cheminée Chats and the Igeho Atelier round off the program this year.

After a four-year break Igeho, the most important industry platform for hotels, restaurants, take-away and care institutions in Switzerland, will once again offer a comprehensive market overview, interesting networking opportunities and new impulses on the subject of hospitality starting November 18, 2023. The wide range of offerings will be complemented by an exciting supporting program on current trends and the most important topics in the hospitality industry.

Cooking arena

In a fully equipped show kitchen organized by the Swiss Chefs Association (SKV), established star chefs and up-and-coming young talents will get their hands on the pots and pans. Among the participants are Pascal Steffen from Roots in Basel and Michaela Frank from Kultur Lokal Rank in Zurich, Niklas Schneider from Paradies Baden and Chef Pâtissière Sabrina Blum. From Monday, November 20 to Wednesday, November 22, the apprentice competitions will take place in the mornings. Sven Epiney will once again host the Cooking Arena.

Cheminée Chats

The Cheminée Chats format will be launched at Igeho 2023. In a relaxed and informal atmosphere, interviews will take place on stage, episodes of the Igeho podcast “Hosting the Hosts” will be recorded live and panel discussions will be held. The program is organized by Igeho and presenter Andrin Willi, associations and trade publishers.

Igeho-Atelier 2023

The newly launched Igeho Atelier 2023 offers a wide range of pop-up events such as workshops, masterclasses and tastings with a focus on concrete knowledge transfer.

Special events

Various partners are actively using Igeho as a communication platform and are organizing their own events in the halls or in the Congress Center of Messe Basel from 18 to 22 November, including the Symposium of the Swiss Association for Hospital, Home and Community Catering on Monday, 20 November in the Basel Exhibition Tower.

Speakers corner

In the Speakers Corner, various companies will present solutions, products and ideas in 20-minute presentations.

On Wednesday afternoon, November 22, the Speakers Corner will be reserved for the finalists of the Igeho Rising Star Award. The six start-ups will present their solutions and products to the expert jury and the audience in 5-minute pitches. Two of the start-ups will then be presented with the award by the jury and the audience.
