Treat Yourself!

I haven't had much experience with Rye whiskey. My second tasting of a rye was j.d. special release rye 2020. With that said if you like a sophisticated rye that drinks like a higher end Bourbon, you will be more than pleased with Old Forester Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye. Here are some of my initial and subsequent tasting notes: On the nose, Potpourri Floral, faint ethanol, maybe some faint Char, Carmel perfumy Citrus Rye spice. Definitely burnt sugar caramel, spice on the palate, Spicey with a long finish. Nose transfers to the palate. You won't be disappointed.
