Ptomaphagus subvillosus

Description

Length 2.2 to 3.7 mm this is a small dark brown beetle which is very similar to other members of the genus and requires detailed examination to arrive at the species.

Widespread in Britain.

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 37 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
