Anyone who travels regularly north over Rannoch Moor and Glencoe will know this tree. It's stood by the road for as long as I can remember (well over 30 years) like a talisman letting you know that you're about to approch the Moor and Glen. Rannoch Moor is a terribly inhospitable place with no trees because of the harsh winds and winters. This tree, however, has survived by growing in the most unlikely place.
