Knowledgeable prof who is extremely well spoken. 3 Non cumulative MC exams with roughly 70% textbook and 30% lecture. He explains concepts clearly and explains what will be tested on. Lectures are enjoyable due to prof not just reading off a PowerPoint or reiterating the textbook.

Dr. Clement is a fantastic professor who is well-spoken and knowledgeable in his subject. His lectures are interesting and he explains concepts clearly. You can tell he truly cares about the success of his students. There were 3 exams - all multiple choice and straightforward. Would absolutely recommend taking a class with Dr. Clement.

Final is worth 50% of the grade and the rubric was broad which made it difficult to understand what the prof was looking for. He gave the class an extension which was nice. Engaging seminars and interesting topics.

Only halfway through the semester, but Dr. Clement is amazing, my favourite prof in the department. 70% of test material is from textbook, you have to read lots but content is easy. In lectures he'll argue a thesis related to the corresponding chapter which makes for engaging lessons- I'd recommend going if you want a more in depth understanding.

Lectures barely tested on (except for the final), but they are interesting, so still worth going to. Test questions were either super easy, except for a few that are impossibly hard and meant to lower the average. Final was harder i.e. lots of "none of the above" or "a and c" type questions, making you second guess. 85% for an A. Read the textbook!

Very textbook heavy class but the exams are relatively straightforward if you put in the work. Lecture questions are pretty easy on both midterms but the human rights section on the final gets tricky.

It was really nice to have an instructor who is passionate about what they teach. He was clear about his expectations and inspired us to think outside of the box. Overall the exams are straightforward if you keep up with the material, although the human rights section for the final took a bit more work. I would take a class of his again.

Dr. Clement is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. The textbook is important as it makes up the majority of exams. His lectures are amazing - he is interesting, well-spoken, funny, and insightful. He does not repeat the text in his lectures, but rather uses outside examples to reiterate points. cannot say enough good things!

Dr. Clement really explains concepts well and wants students to succeed. He speaks eloquently about his points without forcing students to agree with is arguments; just to understand them. The mc exams aren't easy but aren't particularly tricky either - just study your notes and textbook and you will be fine.

Probably my favorite prof of my entire undergrad. The way he repeats everything 2/3 times makes note taking super easy and he genuinely is passionate about the topic. Honestly can't say enough good things about him, he gave me something to look forward to every Tuesday/Thursday.

Probably the most interesting class I have taken. I was motivated to go to lectures because his lectures were so engaging and simply interesting. His biased views are hilarious. Midterms and final are all textbook heavy (straightforward though) and major themes from lectures. He made a human rights class extremely fun NUFF SAID

Class were always very engaging and interesting. You have to participate in order to do well. He gives great feedback and he wants his students to succeed. Definitely worth taking!

I still don't understand what Human Rights are! The class is based like a seminar which for the most part is alright however the discussions from other students really didn't help. If the prof just took 15-20 minutes at the end of the seminar to explain what was going on in the readings I wouldn't still be wondering what HR's were. He is very clean

Not sure if I love or hate him. Amazing class content (huge workload), great seminar classes, really excellet for developing critical thinking. Breaks down biases you didn't know you had. Learned more from him than all profs combined. Makes you think you'll fail based on feedback (makes you work HARD). But good grader. Not accesible out of class.

Class marks are split up by a small presentation (10%) midterm (30%) seminar participation (20%) and a term paper (40%). This class was very interesting! I would highly recommend him, he is helpful if you have questions and makes you want to come to lectures!

Dr. Clement is the kind of professor you expect to see at a well-respected University. He is excellent at bringing students into the course material, for academic debate, not simply memorization. He expects a lot in writing, but gives a lot of opportunity to learn. Expect grades to improve as the course goes on if you attend class & ask questions.
