Jacques "Jack" Dumoulin

Mr. Jacques J. Dumoulin, age 87, of Wilkesboro, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Wilkesboro, NC. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1356 Mountain View Road, North Wilkesboro, NC, with Pastor Donnie Shumate and Preacher Tony Malay officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The Family will receive friends from 1:00PM-1:45PM prior to the funeral service at the church. 

Mr. Dumoulin was born March 14, 1936, in Ottawa, Canada to Lucien Dumoulin and Cecile Rochon. He was a retired Supervisor from Abitibi-price Incorporated, Roaring River, NC with 30 years of service. 

Mr. Dumoulin was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church for 53 years where He taught Sunday School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Bethel Bible Institute.

He loved his church family, enjoyed singing, Bible study, and participating in all church functions. He was a man of character, he had a wonderful sense of humor, had a contagious smile, and a very kind and compassionate man toward others. In his leisure time he enjoyed bowling, tennis, and golf. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Johnson, a son Jeffery Lane and wife Carol, sisters, Terasa Chapman and husband Bob, Pauline Etlinger and husband Mike, a brother, Alfred (AJ) Dumoulin and wife Claire (living). 

He is survived by his wife Shirley Dumoulin, daughter Deborah and Tommy Fleming, stepdaughter Teresa (Butch) Woodie, stepson James (Sharleen) Hutchens, 7 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great, great, grandchildren. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
