Reno man sentenced to life without parole for killing pregnant girlfriend

A Reno man who shot and killed his pregnant girlfriend has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Guy Lambert, 37, had pleaded guilty to charges of first-degree murder. Judge Scott Freeman imposed the maximum sentence allowed by law.

Reno police arrested Lambert in 2020 in the shooting death of Tiffany Self, 28.

Self had been staying at a friend's apartment after a fight with Lambert, police said, and had asked the friend not to tell Lambert where she was because she was afraid of him.

After a mutual acquaintance informed Lambert of Self's location, he forced his way into the apartment and shot Self in the face. Self was four months pregnant.

A tip to Secret Witness led police to where Lambert was hiding and he was arrested.
