Salvatore Miraglia  

Of  Everett, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer, passed away on June 5, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on December 17, 1938, in Sicily to Calogero and Agatina Miraglia. He immigrated to the United States in December of 1949.

Sal was the beloved husband of Antonina “Nina” (Bellomo) for 60 years. He was the loving father of Catherine Shanahan & her husband Michael, Marie Myers & her husband Sam, Charles Miraglia & his wife Leanne, and Michelle Markiewicz & her husband Peter. He was the adored grandfather of Alessandra Wing & her husband Michael, Daniel Myers, Samantha Shanahan, Nicholas Miraglia, Christian Myers, Zachary Miraglia, Isabella Markiewicz, Addison Markiewicz, Luke Markiewicz and one great granddaughter Olivia Wing.  He was the brother of the late Concetta DelSonno. Also survived by his sisters in law, brothers in law, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & good friends.  

Sal will always be remembered for his infectious smile and welcoming personality. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them, whether it was a birthday, holiday or trip to Disney. His legacy will live on in the way he positively impacted the lives of others. 

Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St, Everett on Thursday, June 10th at 9 am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Church, Everett at 10 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday only from 5 to 7 pm. Complimentary valet parking Wednesday at Main St. entrance. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT  06851.
