Written for the Brass Quintet in 1989, this original work is designed to be an opening fanfare suitable for any brass quintet setting. The first bar of the piece states the main musical motif which is then built upon throughout the piece. The work is essentially in ABA form with the main theme at the beginning, a development section in the middle and a triumphant return to the beginning theme at the end.
