¡Vamos de vacaciones! (Pre-spring break/summer break activity)

Looking for a simple and fun activity for a light class before spring or summer break? This is it! In this activity, students are guided through the planning of a spring break or summer vacation. They will select a city and country to visit, tell who is going to go with them, decide a departure and return date, find plane tickets, find a place to stay, plan 5 things that they are going to do and reflect on what they have learned and decide if this is a place they would like to visit. At the end of the lesson, you can have students share their trips with the class and vote on the best vacation! This activity has the students using the construction ir + a + infinitivo (and they should have prior knowledge of verbs), but you can tweak it to be done in English for 6th/7th graders or even tweak it to elicit the future tense for upper-level students.
