What educators are saying

Good resource. I used it for a warmup/bellringer for my 8th grade students. It took them about ten minutes to complete.
Thank you for the helpful teaching resources! The structured plan and engaging activities made a positive impact on my unit. My students enjoyed the varied lessons, and the resources were easy to implement. Your contribution enhanced our learning experience!

Description

Teacher Directions:

Use this 20-question worksheet to help students recognize when commas should and should not be used in conjunction with FANBOYS (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so). There are two parts. In Part I, students simply decide whether to keep or remove the comma. In Part II, they correct the FANBOYS if an incorrect FANBOY is present in a sentence.

I use this to help high school students review common editing mistakes.

This assignment aligns with the Correcting FANBOYS lessons available on www.NoRedInk.com. If using No Red Ink, I highly recommend using this worksheet as a precursor to the No Red Ink assignment.

As always, this PDF product includes a link to the original Google document for editing and personalization purposes.
