Description

About this resource:

This document contains a composite transformations domino puzzle! Each coordinate on each domino is transformed using two back to back transformations. Students will get practice on translations, reflections, rotations and dilations! Two puzzles are included. They are practically the same, however. One contains a dilation of 1, while the other does not.

You can print a domino page per student, or pair to cut and piece together OR, I typically print the puzzle, laminate it, then cut out the dominos for year-to-year use. This activity is both hands-on and highly engaging!

Students should begin the puzzle with the domino that says "Start" and then transform the coordinate on that domino. The answer to the problem should appear on another domino. The process continues until all domino pieces are used. I have provided a sample key. Note: the shape of the puzzle may change from student to student, but the order will remain the same.

Recording sheet included! Color and B&W versions available!
