Ensemble Building Mini-Unit for Theatre Classes
Description
In this two-day mini-unit on Ensemble Building, you will set a strong foundation for relationships - both student to teacher and student to student - in your theatre arts classes. The collective class is an ensemble in and of itself, and using games and discussions to build soft skills is the ground work for future, more complex units. "Ensemble building" is the work a theatre company does to establish trust, support, and empathy at the core of its work. Non-theatre groups might call this icebreakers or team building. In a theatre class, it is even more important because of the nature of the work and the necessity for students to be more comfortable risk-taking and performing. Have a question? Send me a message!
