Description
This economics project will give students a hands-on approach to creating their own business. Beginning with the read aloud The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies, the students will mesh literacy with economics to deepen their understanding.
Students will have the opportunity to plan out all aspects of their own lemonade stand, including budgeting, location, and marketing. They will work collaboratively with their business partners to create a budget, take out a loan, design their advertising, and manage their resources. Then they will actually get to run their business on your designated lemonade stand day and sell to the other classes.
