Question Formation in French: mini-unit

Question formation in French can be a little complicated, so I've done my best over the years to streamline my lessons into a concise, easy-to-digest unit. This mini-unit is intended as a short overview of forming questions in French, suitable for the end of first year (or as a handy review in second year). I find it takes 2-3 classes and is always well-received by students!

You will receive:

• 4-page PDF note packet outlining Yes/No questions and Question Word questions (intonation, est-ce que, and inversion style questions)
• 1 independent practice handout & key of thème/version translations (PDF)
• 1 independent practice handout & key of fill-in-the-blank questions when supplied with answers (PDF)
• 1 slideshow template for a fun celebrity question game to be played either in Google Slides™ or Google Jamboard™ (3 versions of template provided)

Students really enjoy the celebrity game! I do recommend doing the handouts in the order noted in the zip file as the second handout is considerably more challenging than the first. This unit works great either on paper or digitally and also makes a good sub plan.
