Shakespeare - Sonnet 142

Love is my sin, and thy dear virtue hate,
The poet discovers that the lady’s faults are synonymous with his own. He argues that she should pity him lest she be denied such pity when she needs it. The practical activities in the workbook make the ideas, the imagery, the rhyme and meter just a little more accessible while the reading gives added dimension to the appreciation of the poet’s intent.
