Urban, Suburban, & Rural Area Differentiation Powerpoint Game

Are you looking for a fun and competitive way to teach your students how to differentiate between urban, suburban, and rural areas? Well, this is it. This PowerPoint game is an interactive way to get your students engaged in the learning process. All you need is a white board and some cardstock. Your students are show simple pictures of different areas. They are then asked to determine if the picture is a presentation of a rural area, a suburban area, or an urban area.

Copy the letter cards onto cardstock. Then, cut the letters out. Laminate them to make sure that last for more than one use. Then, either clip or paste them to rulers or fly swatters. Place your students in teams. Give each team a set of answer cards. Show each slide. The teams must hold up the correct answer card. The team who answers first AND has the correct answer receives the point. This continues until all of the slides have been shown. The team with the most points wins.
