Born in Brussels in 1968, Christos Doulkeridis is a dual Belgian and Greek citizen. He is self-taught and graduated from upper secondary school.
In 1988, he became a member of the Ecolo party, in which he held several positions before becoming a member of Parliament in 1999. In 2004, he chaired the Parliament of the French Community, and was re-elected to the post five years later. In July 2009, having been a party negotiator for the group of the Brussels-Capital Region government, Christos Doulkeridis became the new State Secretary for Housing and SIAMU. He was also entrusted with the Presidency of the French-speaking Brussels Government (Cocof), Tourism Policy, Education and Budget.
Since 1999, Christos Doulkeridis represents, for his party, Brussels in all the institutional negotiations.
In 2007 he received the Condorcet-Aron Prize 2007 with Jean-Luc VANRAES by the CREP for their joint action in initiating intercultural dialogue among Brussels youths.
In 2018 he was elected Mayor of Ixelles.
