Best known for her roles on the Dick Van Dyke Show and the The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Emmy award winning actress Mary Tyler Moore was a comedy and feminist icon. She died today after spending more than a week in critical condition in a Connecticut Hospital. "A groundbreaking actress, producer, and passionate advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Mary will be remembered as a fearless visionary who turned the world on with her smile," Mara Buxbaum, Moore's longtime representative, said in a statement.
