Evelyn is a native Vermonter born and raised in Burlington. As an Accelerated MPA candidate, she is on track to complete her undergraduate degree in Public Communication with a concentration in Strategic Communication at UVM in December 2022. Her nontraditional path to UVM follows a decade of work in the food service industry. Evelyn’s background as a classically-trained chef for the Burlington School District and labor union organizer has inspired her to pursue a career path using her leadership and communication skills to serve the public good. During her time at UVM, Evelyn has tutored and served as a teaching assistant in the CDAE department. She is currently the volunteer social media coordinator for CVFiber, a Communications Union District (CUD) that aims to bring fast and reliable fiber optic internet to the unserved and underserved communities of Central Vermont. She currently lives in Middlesex with her husband where she enjoys painting, gardening, and hiking the rocky hills of the C.C. Putnam Forest in their backyard.
