Hi Corey, we're sorry to hear about the condition of your device battery where it instantly dies when playing games. We'll be asking few questions to isolate this concern.1. Are you using the original Motorola charger that came with the device? have you tried to use a different cable charger and observe if there are any changes?
2. May I suggest checking if your device has the latest software update? To do this, go to your Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and make sure all your apps are updated.
3. Can you test in Safe Mode and let me know if it behaves the same? Safe Mode will start the device without third-party applications running. To boot into Safe Mode, press the physical power key, touch and hold Power off, and touch OK when Reboot to Safe Mode appears. Restart the device to get out of Safe Mode.

I am confused about the Motorola EdgePlus UW (2022) I thought this phone was the newest that I was purchasing from Verizon. I was told in was manufactured in 2022 but was made in 2023. I wanted a 2023 manufactured. I may need to return this phone
