WHO WE ARE

Vertunno Srl is a design studio based at Boves, 80 km south of Turin in north-west Italy, and we are a team of experts specializing in architectural design, urban regeneration and eco-building (using XLam and wood construction methods).
The company′s founder, Giacomo Luigi Gaiotti, is an architect from the city of Cuneo who decided to put his skills acquired over the years to good use in the community.
Keeping up with the times while contextualizing the different environmental, social and economic needs encountered in designing a single building, or even part of a city′s urban landscape, is synonymous with integrated design and related work in each project. This is why our studio, together with our team of skilled architects and engineers, is able to successfully work with businesses, technical and public administration offices, companies, and also private individuals who face complex regulatory measures and legislation in the fields of architecture, urban regeneration, acoustics, and a building′s energy efficiency.

In Roman mythology, Vertumnus (Vertunno) was the god of gardens and fruit trees who changed his appearance according to the season. His name comes from the Latin verb "vertere", which means to change.

Sustainable Construction

We specialize in ecological building methods, an architectural approach in which the design, construction and management of a building must adhere to principles of environmental sustainability. In particular, we create houses using green building techniques (having built log homes), a gentle revolution that is changing the way we understand buildings and the areas they are situated in XLam solid wood panels combine the features of traditional constructions with the ecological properties of wood, improving the thermal inertia of the walls due to their greater mass while allowing for the construction of stable and safe multi-story buildings.
With these panels, buildings of all kinds can be constructed, including multi-story structures, additions and restorations. All of this can be accomplished in a short period due to prefabrication, providing the following advantages:

Use of a single material and construction system
Reduced construction time: quick and dry assembly
Comfortable living conditions: the surface temperature is close to the ambient temperature

Virtual reality is a simulated reality, a 3D computer-generated environment that can be explored and interacted by using simple gestures and control devices (headsets, gloves, earphones) that immerse users into a new dimension who can experience different degrees of realism based on the project′s characteristics and type.
