Channel 4 drama Screw returns to screens for a second series on Wednesday, August 30 - and this time around there’s a new inmate at Long Marsh Prison. The A Word star Lee Ingleby joins the cast as Prisoner Patrick Morgan.

Lee, a self-confessed fan of the first series, said ahead of the new episodes: “I was really interested when I got asked to be in it, both in terms of the piece and the character.” He describes his character as someone who’s “incredibly nervous and way out of his depth”.

Patrick is a civil servant on remand and someone Lee said was incarcerated for getting “a bit hands-on with a burglar”. Lee added that his character is trying to “keep himself to himself” whilst at Long Marsh. Are you planning to watch the new series? Let us know in the comments.
