Biography

Willy Heymans survived persecution during the Holocaust.

Willy was born in 1937.
She was the daughter of David Heijmans and Sara Judik Bouwman.

During the war John and his twin sister Willy went into hiding [1] but were later deported with their family via Westerbork transit camp to Theresienstadt.
They were liberated by the Allies and returned home.

She married Walter Gustav Sonnenfeld.
Willy passed away in 2017 in Amsterdam and was buried in the Jewish cemetery Muiderberg, South-Holland.
