North Carolina Flag
Wynant Vanderpool was born in North Carolina.

Wynant was born in 1742 and died in 1810.

He is said to have married Naomi Kinman about 1765. His birth in Pennsylvania and the recorded christening of his sister Sarah in Bucks County makes it extremely likely that Naomi was part of the family of Kinman then known to be living in that area. See John Kinman

By 1772 he was recorded as living in Surry County, North Carolina [1]

Wynant was the son of Abraham Vanderpool ( circa1708-1799) and Jannetje Weibling ( circa 1714-1745). Wynant married Amy Kinman and they had 12 children. 1. Mary Vanderpool Moad 2. Issac Vanderpool 3. Sometimes shown as "Winant"

Wynant's famiily in the 1790 SC Census consisted of John (referred to as "Old John" since he is believed to be the first white settler in Ray Co., MO), Anthony, Nancy, Jane WInant/Wynant Jr. (b1782). It's speculated that Nancy could have been named after Amy/Naoma Kinman, and Jane after Jannetje Welling/Wibling (believed to be first wife of Abraham b. 1709. (Vanderpool Newsletter 14.1)

Is the estimated date of death of "before 1900" supposed to be "before 1800"?

I believe Wynant lived to a very advanced age (100+). 109 years old is what I have heard the most.

Vanderpool-26 and Vanderpool-347 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, same wife. Place of birth needs rationalising.
