She lost Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles last spring but now petite action babe Summer Glau has gained a gig on Dollhouse. When the Fox series returns next month. Glau, a favorite of Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon from their work on the short-lived Firefly series, will portray Bennett, a sexy robot-for-hire who shares a secret past with lead Doll Echo, played by Eliza Dushku (pictured).
Additional to Glau, the series will add ex-Battlestar Galactica heroes Jamie Bamber and Michael Hogan. Alexis Denisof (Angel and Keith Carradine (Dexter) are also slated for guest appearances.
Dollhouse started off slow but built to a strong finish toward the end of its first season and picked up a surprise renewal from the network despite so-so ratings.
Dollhouse season two premieres Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
