- Chairman of the Section on Applied Biocatalysis (ESAB) of the European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB)
- Associate Editor of the international journal Biocatalysis and Biotransformation
- Member of the graduate school Food Technology, Agrobiotechnology, Nutrition and Health Sciences (VLAG)
- Teacher of a number of courses at WU on topics like Enzymology, Structure and Reactivity, and Applied Biocatalysis.
