K-pop star HyunA revealed that she suffered a lot during the last two months since all her activities were cancelled by Cube Entertainment in August, after she confirmed that she’s in a relationship with boy band Pentagon member E’Dawn.

Before Cube Entertainment announced that it had terminated its contract with HyunA on 15 October, she wrote a letter to Cube CEO Shin Dae-nam on 4 October in which she told him she worked very hard under the agency and did not know what she did for her to be punished with the cancellation of her schedule.

‘As you are already highly aware of, the only thing I have done wrong is to keep my nose to the grindstone,’ she said in the letter.

HyunA added that ‘ever since Cube went public, all I did was to do my utmost best to render Cube as it is now’.

On 3 August, while HyunA was in the midst of promoting the track Retro Future with her fellow Triple H members, she and E’Dawn admitted that they were in a romantic relationship. That admission prompted Cube Entertainment to end their promotions and activities.

‘I am not fully aware of what I have done wrong, but all my schedules have been cancelled. Moreover, I saw the news about the decision to kick me out on September 13th, when I could have been notified in person instead,’ she said.

Last 13 September, the agency suddenly announced that it had expelled HyunA and E’Dawn from the company for breach of loyalty and trust. On the same day, the company took back its statement to say that there was no final decision yet.

She revealed that she ‘agreed upon the early termination of the contract on September 19th in the Cube president’s residence’.

‘I was also told that I will get a response in regards to this matter after a stockholder’s meeting. However, I have not heard anything from anybody. They are procrastinating, making excuses while being in the same building as I am,’ HyunA said.

HyunA continued: ‘Each day is extremely dreadful. The last two months have been such a long and hard time for me to just wait.’

After not getting any response, she told the CEO: ‘I want your response by this Monday (15th). And I want my contract to be cancelled without any issues.’

If the company would not respond by the deadline, HyunA said she would hold a press conference to air her side.

‘If not, I will speak out at a press conference with the things that have been processed and go my way. Once again, putting my utmost effort into making Cube established as it is the only thing that I have done,’ she added.

HyunA admitted that ‘getting kicked out of Cube has tarnished my reputation and disgraced myself’.

Despite what happened, she told the CEO that ‘considering the good old times, I hope this issue is solved in an amicable manner.  I wish the best for Cube.’

After the announcement was made by Cube yesterday,  HyunA posted a video of her and E’Dawn together.

E’Dawn also set up his own Instagram account yesterday. As of writing, his account has received 336,000 followers.

As to the decision regarding E’Dawn, a news report quoted a Cube Entertainment official as saying that it will be known within a few days.
