The first AIB model of the NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 graphics card has been pictured. The leak comes from Elchapuzasinformatico who managed to find pictures and specifications of the KFA2 GeForce GT 1030 EX-OC White graphics card.
KFA2 GeForce GT 1030 Specifications Revealed - Features Single Slot, Low-Profile Design For Entry Level PCs
The KFA2 GeForce GT 1030 EXOC White is an interesting graphics card. Not only does it feature a single slot design but also comes in a low-profile form factor. The specifications for this card reveal that we are looking at the new Pascal GP108-300-A1 GPU which was confirmed a few days ago. The graphics card is aimed to tackle the Radeon RX 550 with a similar price tag.
Before we get to the specifications, let's take a detailed look at this low end card. As mentioned, it's a low profile, single slot solution meant to be housed in small ITX cases. It's perfect for streaming media in compact HTPC setups. The card comes with a pure white PCB and there's a single fan cooler embedded in the aluminum heatsink that cools the GPU and memory chips.
The card sports a 2 phase design that will be enough for this low-end card. In terms of display I/O, the card features a single DVI and HDMI 2.0b port. There's no power connector on the board since this card features a TDP of 30W. While this variant uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 link, some cards would be available with x4 interface.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 With GP108 Has Decent Specifications For The Price
The NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 is going to utilize the new GP108 GPU that is based on the Pascal architecture. It may be based on the same 16nm FinFET process that is utilized by other Pascal architecture based GPUs.
It’s a low-end solution and will act as a GT 930 / GT 730 successor. The pricing for the new card is suggested to be around $60-$80 US which puts it in the same league as the Radeon RX 550. KFA2's graphics card is going to cost 79.95 Euros.
The site mentions that the GP108 GPU is going to feature 384 CUDA cores compared to 512 cores which we have been hearing on other sites. It is possible that the GT 1030 may have two variants with the 2 GB shipping with 384 and the 4 GB variant shipping with 512 cores but that remains to be confirmed. We are looking at just 2 GPCs, each featuring 2 SM blocks (4 total). It will feature 32 TMUs and 16 ROPs. The card will ship with clock frequencies of 1252 MHz base and 1506 MHz boost. The card will feature a 64-bit wide bus interface and ship with either 2 or 4 GB of GDDR5 memory.
NVIDIA will use 6 Gbps chips on their GeForce GT 1030 graphics card, leading to a memory bandwidth of 48 GB/s given that the 64-bit bus for memory is true. The card will require no additional power connector and the TDP will be rated at 30W. For comparison, the Radeon RX 550 ships with a TDP of 50W.

For most eSports titles, these cards will do the trick but don’t expect to run high-end AAA titles as these cards aren’t built for those. The performance numbers are reportedly on par or better than the GTX 750 Ti and will hit the market mid May 2017.
