Prepn. contains tannic acid, glycoside gein, various bitter substances (such as gentiopicrin, swertiamarin, amarogentin), ethereal oils (alpha-pinene, limonene, eugenol, m-cresol and sesquiterpenes), crude slime, diosmin, aesculus saponin/aesin-flanol cpds., glycerides of lauric acid, myristic acid, oleic acid, chref alkaloid acontin, blossoms, carbohydrates, camphor oil -3-O-fructose, fructic acids, dyestuffs, vitamin C, mustard oil glycosides, glucotropaeolin, quercetic and camphor oil -O-glycosides, silicic acid, saponin, equisetonin, flavone, umbelliferone methyl ether, sesquiterpene bisabolol, slime, amino acids, strychnine, brucine, viscotoxin, glycoproterase with arginine, alkaloids (vinblastin and vincristin), catechol tanning substances, panaxic acid (in wild growing types), oestrogen substances, bioflavone, cations, anions, undissociated substances and gaseous substances. USE/ADVANTAGE - Prepn. can be used against AIDS. The prepn. can be applied three times daily (2 ml each time) by intravenous injection to treat AIDS. No details of activity given.
