It seems that backlight bleed is still present with the studio displays. Arstechnica reviewed two panels, one of which had backlight bleed. That's a 50/50 chance. I'm a little bit worried that with my luck I'll receive a dud right off the bat. Ugh!
no way to avoid backlight bleed on LCD. none of apple’s products escaped it.
It’s an edge-lit LED.That is a shame. I was hoping that at that price point Apple would make sure the quality of each panel is top notch. Let's hope the one with the backlight bleed is a dud and most people get a panel like the one below it.
YES !I'm not going to check any for mine. But the display looks way better than my M1 iMac, which has a lot of vignette in the corners.
How is everyone else's uniformity? That concerns me more than backlight bleed.i have two and none of them has major backlight bleed. major defined as you can see white light coming out. But I think I do exhibit screen uniformity issues as the bottom lights appear stronger than the top.
