If the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance was a baseball field, the Laraki Motors Epitome came from right field. In fact, it was so unexpected by anyone that it probably came from the right field stands.

One thing's certain — it's an interesting concept. Oh, and it will definitely have folks talking.

Probably not for its design prowess but moreso for its rumored power figures. First, let's start from the base. The chassis is from a C6 Chevrolet Corvette and is equipped with a 7.0-liter V8. 1,200 horsepower is said to be produced on "pump gas."

Now if that didn't catch your attention, perhaps this will. According to the company spokesperson the vehicle is designed to have two gas tanks so you can run pump fuel in one and the higher octane in the other. Hit a button and you can mix both, the engine mapping will change and voila(!) you now are running 1,750 ponies.

Keep in mind the body is all carbon fiber and is said to weigh under 2,800 pounds.

All this considered, what say you? Is the Laraki Motors Epitome AWESOME or AWFUL?

Let's see if these guys can actually build the damn things...
